Hello,

So It's been some months since I've been having this problem where my cs2 just randomly freezes in the middle of game. I've been using the launch settings -vulkan so It'll only freeze but If I don't use it then the game crashes mid game. The temperatures are fine, under 75 degrees. I'm not sure what's causing this issue. Even If I close all the background apps the same thing happens. I've already tried few methods to fix this but none of them worked such as reinstalling drivers, downloading latest drivers, Updating motherboard bios, reinstalling the game. My previous intel cpu wasn't crashing or freezing. So I'm pretty sure It's a problem with the amd side. This doesn't happen in most games. Also another issue is that If i switch to desktop (Different Resolution) It appears to be all black. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Here are some footage the freezing :

It's most likely the 580. It's aging out of its role due to DirectX feature level and it's never played well with Vulkan.
Any benchmark that I've run with it that included Vulkan would 50/50 induce a crash or hard crash.
If the stutters were consistent, I would at least be curious about your HDCP Support override being checked but that's not it.

Time to move on.

You could try to lower your GPU and VRAM frequency, maybe it can't sustain the stock clocks anymore. Also, you could try to use older GPU drivers and see is there any difference. Vulkan can be heavy even on my 5700XT and 6900XT. The GPU settings I use that are perfectly stable with DX, often aren't with Vulkan.

any idea why my desktop appears to be black when I switch back to it? My cs2 resolution is 4:3 (1280x1024) and my desktop is 1920x1080 and some times when I switch from cs2 to desktop It appears to be all black. I can't do anything except for switch back to cs2 and close it, otherwise I have to restart my pc

I have been suspecting that is due to problems with monitor firmware, but with a bunch of monitors, there doesn't even appear to be a firmware update for them.

I get the best performance with Vulkan in Beam NG .drive on my RX 6750 XT.

FPS is poor in Beam NG .drive with the DirectX renderer. :(

Oh, thank you, that helped me.
