As title state, let us allow to work/save modded files in same path as nvclean exe file.

as a bonus please add NVCleanstall_nvidia_version_number to folder name - (example) NVCleanstall_536.23

You can just "show in explorer" and copy the folder. Not sure if adding a UI option can make that easier?

Its more of skipping doing that the lazy way and also doing achives of various drivers without having to rename'n'move your self.

This should be pretty much what you want? default filename is "NVCleanstall_NVIDIA_536.23_x64_dch_Desktop_Setup.exe"

Yeah but want to avoid unnecessary writing and would like have work/writing directory to be where the file is ran from and not have a single install file.

Maybe I could add a 4th button here?

"Copy Folder" "Saves the NVCleanstall workspace to a folder, for later installation"

Thoughts on wording?

No plans to change the work directory, %TEMP% is perfect for this. Your SSD will not die because 1 or 2 GB get written to it

if that's okay, it will be great for me and others I think :)

Btw why does all my messages have to be accepted first?

Getting this messages all the time.

This message is awaiting moderator approval, and is invisible to normal visitors.

Is that just a default thing for all normal users on this forum?

@wazer: Please test the attached build. Working as expected?

No and no, working directory is still using %temp%, I get that you want that as default but before you move one it would be awesome to have a chance to NOT use temp as working directory but the directory of where the file has been started from.

Also having a "copy" folder action just gives more work, first you have to pick a folder where to save it, but you also need to rename the folder and it will not automatic output the folder "driver_version"

The initiate request would be to have the driver download/installation/extraction being run from the working directory of NVCleanstall.exe, so if Im running it from d:\apps\nvncleanstall\NVCleanstall.exe then I would like the whole working project to be d:\apps\nvncleanstall , the download path, extraction, creation etc, but also the rename/save of the files including the driver version name included into it.

I hope it make sense.

I guess I could add a command line option. But why?

I guess I could provide some defaults, which might work just for you and not for anybody else, so they'd have to do the typing
