Fermi card driver update.

Hello. As you know ***** NVIDIA stoped support for gxt 480\580
last driver is 391.95

Hovewer... gt630 for example have lastest drivers but...it STIL FERMI!!!

It is possible (or maybe someone already tryed) to combine\mod\patch\etc to start gtx580 with latest driver?

Unpack latest Fermi architecture driver "392.68 Quadro" with 7zip

Open NVCleanstall

• select "use driver files from disk", navigate to the setup.exe of the unpacked driver
• select components to install
• select "add hardware support" under installation tweaks
• select name, then ID (the hex number from the right)
• select a GPU as template which is most similar to the target GPU

Afterwards it should look similar to this in GPU-Z:

and why quadro? only it support? actualy i need at least 425 when 3d tv play stil present and free of charge.

Unfortunately Fermi support has been physically removed in R396+ drivers.

Interesting: Fermi GT 630 has ID code 0FC2 and the last nvKepler driver (472.12 as well as the security-update 473.04) still contains 0FC2 (nvFermi) as well as 1284 (nvKepler) variants. You might try adding ID for a particular card and take such driver for a test drive.

I'm sorry, I should have used search for GT 630 instead of looking "manually" through the nv_dispi.inf - indeed, nvFermi variant of GT 630 is 0F00.

The installation itself would start, followed by a system crash when using a R396+ driver.
If you try that, let us know the resulting error code in device manager.

It may be time to move on. I get it, it may still work, but the 580 is 12 years old now. a overclocked 750ti will match it in most games, a GPu like the 1050 or even 950 will beat it across the board. Even if you did get it to work it wstill wont be compatible with the newer APIs and games will still have bugs as the bug fixes in newer drivers were not made with fermi in mind.

This card is relevant even today. And it was "drayned" just by releasing the drivers and not because it doesn't pull something. Hard to let it go... But apparently, i will.

Probably not, but yeah, I tested the card, it's a good little card, not power hungry (no power connector) and sufficient for older systems without PCI-express power connectors/weak PSUs.
Do you really need newer drivers? The 391.35 work fine, don't they?

Partially. I need free 3d tv Play diver included 418 to 425 driver.
Also i need scaling support. and Chroma Subsampling

It probably won't work, but you can try and add this to the top of 473.04 driver's nv_dispi.inf ([NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.6.1/2/3] for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1) and at the top of 472.98 driver's .inf (for Windows 10) :
%NVIDIA_DEV.0F00% = Section006, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0F00 (473.04)
%NVIDIA_DEV.0F00% = Section002, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0F00 (472.98)
where other such entries are, e.g. for the nvKepler GT 630 the "0FC2" and on the bottom of the same .inf file (under [Strings]) this:
NVIDIA_DEV.0F00 = "NVIDIA GeForce GT 630" (either drv.).

Or rather - edit 392.68 last nvFermi Quadro driver (as StefanM suggested) in a similar manner (add device 0F00) to see first if you get the functionality that you're seeking.

but you can try and add this to the top of

can't edit the inf file like that, you have to rebuild the digital signature, and work around signing limitation .. just use NVCleanstall, which does it for you

Hi i did what you say i have quadro 2000 1gb GDDR5( last nvidia driver is 377 ) i can't really found a good template (that has 1 Gb gddr5) i choosed quadro K2000 (its 2Gb gddr5) now opengl 4.6 is working the yuzu emulator is starting and runing but my other games crashing in dx 11 and dx 12 too msi afterburner not recignize my card. i think i can't make dx 12 work on a dx11.0 capable card i would be happy for the opengl 4.6 only. My closest similiar card is Gts 450 same chip, but no 6 pin power suppy and heavily underclocked, its the same card. Does the gddr and the vram size matter? Can you recommend me a driver and a template card? this method change my core clock, memory clock PSU settings on my card? if not then i should install 391.35 thats the latest driver for gts 450 card.

Sorry to wake such an old thread.

Will FPS improve? As much as I understand, Quadro drivers aren't optimized for games.

Edit: I also have GTX 570, what GPU template would be the most similar? I see in the screenshot you has that one too.
