Identify my GPU - RX 570 8GB (or what?)

I am new to this GPU probing and VBIOSing, since 4 days now. Got a few GPUs that are supposedly AMD RX 570 8GB. Seller thinks so, but there is no obvious model or anything worth of vendor info. Just a green (like old supermicro card green) card with a matte black metal cape with one single fan. No big brand designs here. Looks like a mining card, but for the activated 5 outputs for screens. Its weird. Military issue?

Here is the still from GPU-Z:

VBIOS FLASHING - 001 - Första försök att flasha, med hans 570-rom - efter flash-reboot 2 - bas...PNG

Here is what the BIOS export from GPU-Z says, basic info from amdvbflash from TPU:

Bash:
    Product Name D00003 Polaris20 8G J1407LCA.CLC 2021
    Bios Config File J1407LCA.CLC
    Bios P/N 113-D0000301_100
    Bios Version 015.050.002.001.000000
    Bios Date 04/06/21 22:18

My main question is: what can be changed in a BIOS file? Can the actual vendor of the GPU or card be changed?

Like the PCI vendor (subsystem id 1787 2379), saying in this case that it is a Visiontek RX 570 (can be seen as the last 8 digits in the GPU-Z image in "Device ID"). That would be great, if that info couldn't be changed, I mean. In the BIOS export file there is no mention of the subsystem ID or the PCI vendor info... :)

Here are some basic pics of the card:

They are mining cards. Can you make a picture of the PCB so we can help you with locating the correct bios of the card?

I added a few photos to the main post above, more follow here. The memory VRAM modules are standard Samsung 104 - K4G80325FC-HC25. Seems to be this package of VRAM:

In picture form - some vital chips:

The GPU die number shows 215-0910052, which is the part number for the RX 570. But the card has Samsung Memory Modules, and the GPU-Z reports it being Micron... :/

This bios has the same configuration filename and contains Samsung K4G80325FC instead:

RX580 2048SP bios alternative which might work.

RX570 bios alternatives which might work.

Yes this is the exact same bios file you managed to find online there. That is the precise one that is already installed, but unfortunately not working.

This is an important question though:
What can be changed in a BIOS file?

This specific item in GPU-Z is particularly interesting:
Device ID - more importantly the last 8 digits, specifying the PCI vendor (subsystem id 1787 2379 in my case).

If that can be changed, then perhaps that could account for the missing thermal sensors. In GPU-Z I have no thermal sensors at all. That is with the basic BIOS, the one you specified here, having the correct clocks for the memory. The bios has timings for Samsung already, which is confirmed on the card above. So if the basic info does not work, perhaps the sensors are not registered correctly.

Then you need to flash one of the other bioses which I have provided.

Flash instructions from https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/...nd-line-cmd-syntax-mini-guide-windows.291671/
For RX 500 Series (Polaris) and Older:

Get amdvbflash 2.93

https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ati-atiflash/

Then look for Version 4.68, underneath 4.68 you will see a link to show older version, click that and you should see version 2.93

Follow these steps carefully:

1. Open your "C:" drive in Windows, create a new folder, call it atiflash.

2. Extract the contents of atiflash_293.zip to the "C:\atiflash" folder

3. Find the bios file you downloaded and rename the bios file to 5 digits with .rom on end Example RX 580, change file to rx580.rom (r****.rom)

4. Move r****.rom to the "C:\atiflash" folder

5. Open the start menu, type cmd, when cmd.exe appears right click it and hit "Run as administrator"

6. At the command prompt type in cd\ and press enter until only C:\> is on the screen.

7. Type in cd/atiflash and press enter, you should see C:\atiflash>

8. Type in amdvbflash.exe -i to identify the gpu you want to flash with a 0, 1, or 2)

9. At the C:\atiflash> prompt type in
amdvbflash.exe -unlockrom 0
(there is a space between the e and -unlockrom and 0)(0 is the number zero)
press enter and you will be prompted that the "ROM Unlocked" (or 1, 2)

10. At the C:\atiflash> prompt type in
amdvbflash.exe -f -p 0 r****.rom
(there is a space between the .exe and -f, and a space between -f and -p and 0).
(Or 1, 2)

Press Enter

Follow directions on screen and if flash is successful exit the command prompt and restart, windows should show up on screen

If I for instance use the PowerColor version, my card is sure to fail. The timings on the Samsung (unclear which is which of the two FC or FB) are all off. The last 3 sets for 1625mhz, 1700 and 2000 are bonkers. They will probably make the card fail or break. The last numbers are upping the megaherz and lowering the latencies. What happy amateur made this thing?

The RX 570 Sapphire seems to retain the correct, or at least resonable, latencies for the higher rates. Might give that a go. Thanks.

I didn't notice. Only checked if K4G80325FC was listed in the bios.

This one might also work:
