Lenovo has been caught injecting malware in thier laptops via preinstalling on the laptop's HDD or SSD as well as embedding it into the UEFI BIOS several times.

Yet, they are now discouraging people from purchasing used/refurb laptops in the name of "security" and scaremongering people into not making a concious deciscion that's easier on the environment and their wallets!

Here's a video I watched today about this!

This is the worst thing lenovo could do right now while me and a lot of other people are trying to do the good thing and rehab laptops and sell them to ppl in need.

Lenovo being morons again? Is anyone really surprised by this?
^^^This^^^

Lenovo has been caught injecting malware in thier laptops via preinstalling on the laptop's HDD or SSD as well as embedding it into the UEFI BIOS several times.
And ^^^This^^^

Lenovo has a long history, going back years, of repeatedly including malware in their products. So to warn users against buying used products is truly laughable.

lenovo malware

I am not disputing the quality of their products. The problem is, the company behind them have demonstrated over and over again, they take an active role in malicious activity against their customers. There's no proof, of course, and Lenovo denies it, but it "appears" this Chinese company is controlled by Chinese government puppet masters, considering the fact the Chinese government has no qualms conducting cyber-warfare on democratic, free societies, or their private citizens. :(

Even "IF" there are no Chinese puppet masters calling the shots, even IF Lenovo management and executives are not active participants in all these repeat malicious activities, the fact it keeps happening over and over again (and with new code too) is a clear indication they are not doing much, if anything, to prevent it from happening again and again! Whether it is because they are lining their greedy pockets, or it is through intimidation and coercion by the corrupt and hostile Chinese government, or both, Lenovo computers cannot be "trusted".

I don't normally watch these YouTube videos, but I did watch this one and recommend others do to. Watching this one point out Lenovo's hypocrisy about the potential for malware on used computers was not only extremely entertaining, it just validated my stand against the company, entirely.
