Don't matter if it's AMD or intel just looking in to more options for a gaming rig for 1080p and maybe some audio stuff.

Already have a PSU a Seasonic 650w.

CPU: Intel Core i5-13400F 2.5 GHz 10-Core Processor ($181.49 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock Z790 Lightning WiFi ATX LGA1700 Motherboard ($179.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory ($96.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Samsung 990 EVO 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 5.0 X2 NVME Solid State Drive ($89.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: XFX Speedster SWFT 210 Core Radeon RX 6650 XT 8 GB Video Card ($219.99 @ Newegg Sellers)
Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case ($89.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $858.44

Keeping price as low as possible and still after a monitor.

Thanks.

Do you want opinion?

If so,
1. Why you need Z790 for 13400F? Even for "future", there are a lot of "good" B760 mobos way cheaper. OC is pricy, enthusiasist-class thing.
Other - all okay, though I'd recommend Nvidia 4060 (start laughing) as the DLSS is ton better than AMD BS FSR.

Better wait for Arrow Lake/Zen 5 and RTX 50xx. Either you go new gen, or you get cheaper old gen parts.

For low end where you are almost guaranteed to be using upscaling, DLSS is indeed far superior. Even without upscaling, DLAA/FG is excellent.

Yeah that mobo could be cheaper.

The 4060 is generally like 90 bucks more. Also at 1080P I'm not sure. At that price range I would go 6700 XT because it has much more raster performance and VRAM. It does lose in RT but either both cards aren't enough at 1080P RT or both cards are equal or close in light RT games.

4060 plays "light" games even in 2K. One could use 4090 for 1080p and say that "it isn't good enough", lol

No need for 13400F, it's still Alder Lake Golden Cove cores, just clocked slightly higher. Waste of money.

Either get Raptor Lake cores (13600 and up) or go with cheap 12400. The four e cores aren't worth $50 at this budget.

This has better memory, better SSD with twice capacity, better GPU, and decent rest of parts.

Other option would be to go for the Corsair 2000D case and a miniITX system.

RTX 4060 is basically 10% faster in classic raster than RX 6600XT, 6650XT is 2-5% faster than 6600XT. Then there's DLSS/DLAA, 35% faster RT, excellent frame generation, efficiency, etc.

This model has easily servicable fans/heatsink too.

Overall, don't think you could do much better for a ~$850 budget

I like this, really the question is if you want to go green or red team for the GPU.

If you buy some used parts you could get a better GPU but this is great for 1080P.

Not much of a question. The only reasonable improvement options are the 4070/Ti S or maybe the 7900GRE if you really don't care about RT/upscaling/DLAA/frame generation or power efficiency.

But we're at the point where lots of games are being made with UE5 now so ignoring RT is kinda silly.

Having access to DLAA/DLSS/FG in a $300 brand new TUF card is hard to beat.

You'd have to be a Linux opensource gamer and/or someone who has no need of CUDA or any of the RTX features for any AMD options in this budget range to make sense.

The VRAM argument is irrelevant at 1080p, and arguably at 1440p too, where the 12 GB options still outperform the 16 GB red team in every game except Alan Wake II which has a literal memory leak.

For a clean $1k you can get this.

Raptor Lake 6+8, 7000 MT memory with good timings.

Use the 4060 till RTX 50xx comes out, base system fast enough to keep a hypthetical RTX 5080 fed.
