I am facing the same problem in all games. Distant objects look extremely bad in the form of a horizontal square. Even if I set the setting to x16, even the textures in the same place look bad. I can't solve it. Please help.

What games are we talking about? It may be possible that the game doesn't support it.

Or maybe you're running out of VRAM, and the game compensates by reducing the quality of distant objects.

Can you post a screenshot?

Fun fact: Anisotropic filtering has existed for two decades now! It would run nicely with my ATi Radeon 9000 Pro 64 MB (64 MB, IIRC)

Probably a bug on Adrenaline driver, experienced the same when i got my 6800XT
If you set it to 16x on Adrenaline Control panel, it will bug out and will not work, leaving 8x or lower will have the desired effect.
I rather leave it controlled by the game itself, unless the game doesn't have an option to choose from

Having used a fair number of RDNA2&3 cards, including a RX 6400, I've never seen this issue. I'd go SOP and DDU the drivers then reinstall the latest. Don't touch anything in the Adrenaline settings; change them in game only.

Download DDU, decompress to desktop or Install to folder of choice.
Download latest/choice AMD 1st Party or Radeon.ID driver package.
Uninstall driver.
Reboot to safe mode, login.
Find DDU, right-click, left-click run it as admin.
Use DDU to cleanly uninstall any driver remnants.
(optional-ish) Disconnect wi-fi/LAN
Reboot normally, login.
Install AMD/R.ID drivers
Reboot normally.
????????
Profit!

Optionally, you may skip CCC/Radeon Settings entirely. Though, you will probably still want MoreClockTool for basic config
