$41 per terabyte is worth considering, especially if most of the disk activities are reads.

SSD prices are on a definite trend down so if you don't need this now, there will likely be a better value in the upcoming months.

For instance, Samsung is keeping an eye on NAND supply:

I was thinking it might be good enough for and active steam library game folder.
My cheap Crucial P2 2TB is getting tight on space so I'm keeping an eye out for potential deals.
The next model up is $200 and that is still about $20 less than some other brands.

This drive is fine as Mass storage. It is a first Gen Pcie 4.0 controller based drive. Those are now 2 generations behind current controllers so the price makes sense. They are probably trying to clear them with the distributor.
