Smell "BURN"

Hi good day i have a bad situation here in attic my 19" lcd monitor getting smell burn like a tire running on the road. The Smell has Spreading in my room.I don't know why even idle mode i do nothing as of now.. i have CF sapphire 5770.. Please help out why this happening to my monitor.

Does the monitor have a power brick in the cord? If so, check that. If it doesn't have one, then there's a power supply in the monitor and most often, that's the part going bad.

Also check for dust buildup...

Oh yeah that will work. I one time had some road kill in front of my house and used an HDMI cable to pull it up.

as other said, if its a older LCD, most have a power brick that could be replaced so if it was that then the LCD may be saved. If it works i would monitor it and would NOT leave it on while i was out of the house cause it COULD burn your house down and that would me you a sad panda
