One of the fans from my MSI GTX 560ti video card stopped spinning, I sent it out for RMA. They replaced the heatsink and fan and shipped it back. This was in July of 13'. I bought a new card and used this one in my sons computer. He got the BSOD and after a few tests including, older drivers, newer drivers and a fresh install of windows where nothing worked, I decided to stick his old card back in. His computer works fine now and I kinda chocked it up to an insufficient power supply.
I just build a new pc for my wife. I purchased a 750W psu to make sure I had the power in it. After I was 100 percent certain everything was built and working properly I decided to stick that old video card into the new computer. Without nvidea drivers installed I can get in to windows. After I install the drivers i get a BSOD that I will include in a pic. Un-install drivers and remove the card and I can get back in on the onboard video.
I was wondering if they screwed up the cards bios when changing the heatsinks on the card. was looking into bios upgrading..
After I un-installed the nvidea drivers I was able to get back into windows and run the GPU-Z.
I'm just wondering if this can tell me anything. Is it possible the video card bios got messed up?
