Once again, 2023's been another year where TPU-members have helped me and so many others solving our weird, simple and "wtf" PC issues, Q's, tasks and whatnot!
As someone from a small place in some distant land in the icy Norway, I was quite clueless where I could get help to my many PC worries, where I could get help to buy a new PC and some other help and tips in general. Then suddenly, TPU pops up on my google search, and since then, this became my main place for everything PC-related, pretty much. It's remarkable how many times I've gotten a solution just by asking. I always try to solve things on my own first, but since my "PC-knowledge" is rather limited, I more often than not must ask you guys for help, and you lot have never failed me.
I also want to point out 2 things that I've found interesting: 1) Freedom to ask whatever you want, as long as rules are followed! I love this! As long as I've posted things in the right section, I've stood free to ask whatever I am struggling with, which is not the case for some other PC-help places, apparently. 2) Tolerant and welcoming forum! Another thing I love about TPU! Being the noob that I am, I've often wondered if what I am asking is worth asking or not, and I can easily understand if some people have found my Q's rather stupid and/or pointless, but even so, you lot come up with an answer without giving me crap stuff and hatred. I can only recall ONCE where some members started to go unnecessarily off-topic, but even then, a mod dropped by and everything straightened up. I loved it! But yeah, the overall friendliness and helpfulness is something I love it here!
So yeah, I simply cannot thank you lot enough for helping me on numerous occasions, not just in 2023, but ever since I became a member here about 15 years ago! You guys have literally been saving me A LOT! With that, I can only say that from the bottom of my PC-heart, I both salute you and hope that you all, especially those who've helped me, will get a wonderful and a jollygood 2024, and of course some great holidays, whether you're celebrating them or not.
Thank you for a helpful 2023, TPU!
