Wallhanger Wood Techstation...latest iteration

This is like my 5th or 6th iteration on the theme. Basically trying to find the ideal techstation that can be built quickly and cheaply and still look good. 20" tall, 18" wide, 8" deep. Hangs on the wall using a hanging cleat. Has room for the largest GFX cards, Largest PSU, 2 Opticals, 2 HDDs and is LC ready with a rad mounting shelf for an MCR320 or other 360 rad.

I made this one larger than the others. This unit could be 17" tall, 14" wide and 8" deep but then LC would be very cramped and only room for a 240 rad.

I know what you mean.... the pleasure and satisfaction of building and giving form to your ideas is beyond everyday's passing moments....
Still, I love spending time with my son...and he is a hand full. So, my modding days are postponed atm! Glad to see builds like yours emerge. Kind of keeps my fire for building and modding lit! :toast:

I am making a pair of these for a guy on OverClock today. I've got the design down pat and using a router template can blaze these out to perfection in a few hours. I need to develop my own quick release HDD caddy. I have finally chopped up all my Lian Li ones I've been saving from builds...

I was thinking maybe a keyhole mount (like you often see on the backs of little things..big hole, smaller slot).

Any ideas?

I absolutely love the idea just as it is except for only being able to use 2 HDDs, so I think you're gonna be good to go once you make that quick release caddy.

Well there is plenty of room for more drives. It's not a small station by any stretch. But so far everyone I have made them for just wants 2 drives.

Here they are complete except for the the HDD thingers. Which I'll put on tomorrow. I had to burn some midnight oil to get a mess of pump brackets made to take to powdercoat...hustle hustle. Now I'm too beat to do that last little detail tonight.
