The Radeon HD 6670 was a mid-range graphics card by AMD, launched on April 19th, 2011. Built on the 40 nm process, and based on the Turks graphics processor, in its Turks XT variant, the card supports DirectX 11.2. The Turks graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 118 mm² and 716 million transistors. It features 480 shading units, 24 texture mapping units, and 8 ROPs. AMD has paired 1,024 MB GDDR5 memory with the Radeon HD 6670, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 800 MHz, memory is running at 1000 MHz (4 Gbps effective). Being a single-slot card, the AMD Radeon HD 6670 does not require any additional power connector, its power draw is rated at 66 W maximum. Display outputs include: 1x DVI, 1x HDMI 1.3a, 1x VGA. Radeon HD 6670 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 interface. The card measures 168 mm in length, and features a single-slot cooling solution. Its price at launch was 99 US Dollars.
