The GeForce 9600 GS OEM was a graphics card by NVIDIA, launched on July 29th, 2008. Built on the 65 nm process, and based on the G94 graphics processor, in its G94-300-A1 variant, the card supports DirectX 11.1. Even though it supports DirectX 11, the feature level is only 10_0, which can be problematic with many DirectX 11 & DirectX 12 titles. The G94 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 240 mm² and 505 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked GeForce 9600 GT, which uses the same GPU but has all 64 shaders enabled, NVIDIA has disabled some shading units on the GeForce 9600 GS OEM to reach the product's target shader count. It features 48 shading units, 24 texture mapping units, and 12 ROPs. NVIDIA has paired 768 MB DDR2 memory with the GeForce 9600 GS OEM, which are connected using a 192-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 500 MHz, memory is running at 1000 MHz. Being a single-slot card, the NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GS OEM draws power from 1x 6-pin power connector, with power draw not exactly known. Display outputs include: 1x DVI, 1x VGA, 1x S-Video. GeForce 9600 GS OEM is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 interface.
