MSI Announces Two Mechanical Keyboards

Corsair Announces Vengeance K70 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Corsair, a worldwide designer of high-performance PC gaming peripherals, today announced the Vengeance K70 fully mechanical gaming keyboard. The new Vengeance K70 gaming keyboard is built on a rugged, brushed, aluminum chassis and features highly responsive Cherry MX Red mechanical switches under every key. The high performance switches combined with the keyboard's 100% anti-ghosted matrix, 20-key rollover and 1000Hz reporting rate provide fast, accurate input for gaming.

The Vengeance K70 gaming keyboards are available in two color schemes: silver aluminum with blue backlighting, and anodized black with deep red backlighting. Overall backlighting can be adjusted to four levels of intensity and each key is individually backlit, enabling the lighting for each key to be independently enabled or disabled. The key-by-key lighting customization allows users to highlight just the keys they need to emphasize and then save the setting directly to the K70's onboard memory. In addition, the Vengeance K70 comes with alternate colored, contoured keycaps for the WASD and 1-6 keycaps to allow additional customization.

MSI Enters Gaming Peripherals Business with GK and GS Series Mechanical Keyboards

MSI strengthened its gaming product portfolio - currently limited to performance PC hardware such as motherboards and graphics cards - with addition of a new gaming peripherals line. One of its first members is the GK Series and GS Series of mechanical gaming keyboards. Pictured below, the GK Series consists of two models featuring the iconic yellow and blue strips found on its lightning and MPower series hardware. The two feature a 104-key QWERTY layout, backed by 5 profiles and over 50 macro combinations. Under their hoods are Cherry MX Red mechanical switches. MSI plans to release the two to the market, later this year.

Next-Gen Corsair Vengeance Gaming Keyboard and Mice Unleashed

Corsair, a worldwide designer of high-performance PC gaming peripherals, today announced next-generation additions to the premier Corsair Vengeance line of gaming keyboards, mice, and mouse mats. Also announced is an upcoming free software driver update for the Vengeance 2000 wireless gaming headset which adds Dolby Headphone 2.0 7.1-channel surround sound.

To create the Vengeance K95 keyboard, the Corsair design team started with the successful and award-winning K90 and added a never-before-seen level of precision, technology, and styling. The result is the Vengeance K95, the most advanced keyboard in the Vengeance gaming line. Now clad in a black anodized brushed aluminum chassis and equipped with luminous white LED lighting, the Vengeance K95 keyboard has been upgraded with Cherry MX Red key mechanical switches on every key including the function and macro keys. Each key is now individually backlit, enabling the keys to be independently enabled or disabled, and overall backlighting can be adjusted to four levels of intensity. The keyboard includes 18 dedicated macro keys that can be programmed via software or on-the-fly, and macros and lighting profiles can be stored in onboard flash memory. The Vengeance K95 also features full anti-ghosting, 20-key rollover, and a 1ms reporting rate.

Truly Ergonomic 209 En-QWERTY Keyboard Launched

Japanese peripherals maker Truly Ergonomic, which designs stuff that lives up to its namesake, launched the 209 mechanical keyboard with an English-QWERTY layout (model: TECK209). The keyboard splits the alphabet keyset into two parts optimized for the way your two hands should be positioned for maximum ergonomic-comfort. The portion between the two halves are used to fill important formatting keys, each half has its own little space-bar. The Truly Ergonomic 209 uses Cherry MX Brown mechanical switches, which are known to provide good tactile feedback, and are durable for up to 20 million key presses. Backing the keys is a controller that supports N-key rollover with USB, letting you press any number of keys simultaneously. Measuring 333 × 238 mm (WxD), including its palm cushions, the keyboard weighs about 1.2 kg. It is priced around 19,800 JPY (US $235).
