AeroCool Intros the Mirage 5: Looks Like an AIO Block, But it's Not

At first glance, the new AeroCool Mirage 5 looks like an overgrown AIO CLC CPU block, with its puck shape, glass top, and an infinite-reflection RGB ornament, but it's not. It's a cylindrical, tower-type CPU air cooler. The CPU base features a tiny bit of aluminium finnage. From here, five 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes make direct contact with the CPU, conveying heat to a stack of ring-shaped anodized aluminium fins. The fin-stack is ventilated by a high-RPM 60 mm lateral flow fan with a somewhat cylindrical impeller, located underneath the top-plate.

This fan spins between 1,200 to 3,000 RPM, pushing between 39.7 to 74.3 CFM of air-flow, with 0.91 to 2.13 mm H₂O static pressure. AeroCool claims the noise output ranges between 18 to 30 dBA for this fan, since this isn't just another 60 mm fan, but a cylindrical impeller that happens to have a low diameter when viewed from the top. The fan features a hydraulic bearing, and is rated for 60,000 hours MTBF. The cooler measures 100 mm x 100 mm x 145 mm (WxDxH). AeroCool claims that the Mirage 5 can handle thermal loads of up to 150 W TDP. Among the CPU socket types supported are LGA2066, LGA1200, LGA115x, and AM4. The company didn't reveal pricing or availability.
A video presentation by AeroCool follows.

ID-COOLING Releases IS-60 EVO ARGB Low Profile CPU Air Cooler

ID-COOLING today announced IS-60 EVO ARGB low profile CPU air cooler, featuring only 64 mm total height, 6 copper heatpipes, copper base and one 120x120x15mm PWM ARGB fan plus a 92 mm x 92 mm x15 mm PWM fan. IS-60 EVO ARGB is specially designed for high performance small form factor builds with a TDP up to 130 W. It is compatible with the mainstream CPU sockets on ITX systems, including Intel LGA1200/1150/1151/1155/1156 and AMD AM4.

The thermal solution is achieved by utilizing a few key structural designs: pure copper base and pure copper heatpipes, high quality aluminium fins which soldered to the heatpipes. Similarly to IS-47K, this new cooler is carefully designed so the layout enables a 100% RAM compatibility on almost all ITX motherboards when the motherboard doesn't have high M.2 heatsink between CPU and PCI-E, for those motherboards who do have high M.2 heatsink module, this cooler can be mounted in an upward direction, which will have around 40 mm tolerance for memory.

EVGA Teases the GeForce RTX 3090 KINGPIN: 360mm AIO Hybrid Cooler, RGB OLED Screen

NVIDIA's announcement of the new RTX 3000-series cards has led to simultaneous announcement of add-in card partners with their solutions and custom takes on the same. These typically come in the form of a press release, with common specifications shared and emphasis on the cooling systems as well as other brand-specific features. EVGA was no different, and the PR shows off their new iCX3 cooling technology in it. More interesting to the enthusiasts and overclockers among us is newer information on their halo card- the RTX 3090 K|NGP|N (Kingpin)- with product management director Jacob revealing it will continue to use a hybrid AIO cooler as with the RTX 2080 Ti variant, but with a massive 360 mm radiator and three 120 mm fans for the behemoth GA102 die and accompanying power delivery solution. No word on pricing or retail availability yet, but look forward to your friendly neighborhood TPU reviews in due course of time to help make a purchase decision on your next GPU.

Alphacool Announces Eisbaer LT 92 SFF AIO CPU Cooler

The Eisbaer LT 92 is the little sister of the classic Eisbaer LT. It is without quick release fasteners and is delivered with only 25 cm long hoses. This ensures it fits perfectly into SFF cases. SFF stands for "Small Form Factor" and describes extremely compact housings. Despite its small dimensions, the 92 mm copper radiator offers enough cooling power for powerful processors. Alphacool uses hoses and fittings from the Enterprise Solution series for the Eisbaer LT 92. The TPV hoses are particularly robust and do not kink as easily as the usual PVC hoses. Bend protection is therefore not necessary. The Eisbaer LT 92 is compatible to all mainstream sockets, the appropriate mounting material for various Intel and AMD sockets is included, also a set of fan screws for 25 mm fans. Fans are not included with this unit and must be purchased separately. The Eisbaer LT 92 costs €73.09 (inc. VAT) from the Alphacool web shop.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition Potentially Pictured: 3-slot Behemoth!

The rumor mill has no weekend break, and it churned out photos of what appears to be an NVIDIA Founders Edition version of the upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 next to the equivalent FE RTX 2080, with the latter looking like a toy compared to the massive triple slotter. The cooler comprises of the same design we discussed in detail in June, with the unique obverse dual-fan + aluminium heatsink seen in the images below. We also covered alleged PCB photos, in case you missed them before, and all lines up with the most recent leaks. The only difference here is that pricing for the RTX 3090 FE is claimed to be $1400, a far cry from the $2000 mark we saw for certain aftermarket offerings in the makings, and yet significantly higher from the previous generation- a worrying trend that we eagerly await to see justified with performance, before we even get into case compatibility concerns with the increased length here. Either way, if the images below are accurate, we are equally curious about the cooling capability and how it affects partner solutions and pricing.

Alphacool Introduces Eisfluegel Aurora Flow-sensor and HDX Pro Air M.2 SSD cooler

Alphacool presents the HDX Pro Air cooler for M.2 2280 SSDs. M.2 SSDs are enjoying increasing popularity. The extremely fast read and write processes ensure a noticeably faster working performance than normal mechanical hard drives and even standard SSDs can offer. However, the controller chip quickly becomes very warm and after about 60 seconds of continuous load, many M.2 SSDs start to overheat, which leads to a massive performance drop. This is prevented with the Alphacool HDX Pro Air M.2 SSD cooler. The solid aluminium cooler fits on single- and double-sided M.2 SSDs. Despite the larger heat sink, the cooler fits on M.2 slots underneath a graphics card without colliding with them.

Now available, the new Alphacool Aurora Eisfluegel high flow flow sensor. The small compact flow sensor is equipped with 8 addressable digital RGB LEDs for optimal illumination. The speed of the Eisfluegel flow sensor is read out via a normal 3 or 4-pin fan connector. With the help of monitoring software can determine the exact flow rate. With the Eisfluegel Aurora flow sensor a flow rate between 70 and 300 L/h can be determined. The Eisfluegel Aurora can either be mounted with M3 screws or mounted at any position in the case with the included Velcro mat. Alternatively, Eisfluegel is so light that it can be mounted freely suspended between two hoses or HardTubes.

Intel Slightly Upgrades Stock Coolers for Some of its Higher 10th Gen Core and Xeon-W

Intel is packing a slightly improved stock heatsink-fan (HSF) cooling solution with some of its higher-end 10th generation Core desktop and select Xeon-W processors. The cooler, while nowhere close in size or weight to the TS15A, features a slightly thicker heatsink with a copper core, compared to the one included with lower-end parts such as the i5-10400. This heatsink's primary material is black anodized aluminium, with a copper core. The fan's cable is now black sleeved, instead of being a loose bunch of four ketchup-and-mustard wires. The hub of the fan, which usually had a white or blue label with ugly regulatory markings, now has a solid grey sticker with just the Intel logo.

There are no performance numbers, but the cooler looks physically similar to the copper core coolers Intel used to include with some of its oldest LGA115x processors, such as "Lynnfield" and " Sandy Bridge," capable of handling 95 W TDP. Intel is including the cooler with the Core i9-10900, the i9-10900F, i7-10700F, i7-10700; and Xeon W-1290, W-1270, and W-1250 boxed processors in the DIY retail channel.

Intel Issues PCN Reflecting LGA1200 Support for BXTS15A Boxed Cooler

Intel sells a beefed up sibling of its stock heatsink-fan separately in the DIY retail channel, called the Thermal Solution TS15A, which was originally released when Intel launched its LGA115x socket. With the new LGA1200 socket retaining cooler compatibility with LGA115x, Intel issued a PCN (product change notification) apprising its retail supply chain that a newer batch of the cooler will come with updated packaging to reflect that the cooler supports LGA1200 in addition to LGA1151. The TS15A features a copper core making contact with the processor's IHS at the base, from which aluminium fins project radially. A high power fan ventilates the cooler axially, while the cooler's design spreads some of the air onto the CPU VRM and memory.
