Valve announced today it will bring Steam, Valve's gaming service, and Source, Valve's gaming engine, to the Mac. Steam and Valve's library of games including Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, Portal, and the Half-Life series will be available in April. Over 300 police officers in China's northern port city Tianjin were "mobilized" to an internet cafe Wednesday for a three-day competition of the terrorism-themed computer game Counter-Strike. Han Zhen, a tactical instructor of Tianjin police, says the game is a close resemblance to real-life scenarios and enhances the terrorism awareness of Tianjin's police force while also sharpening their anti-terrorist skills. Since the competition was announced in March, almost half of the entire Tianjin force are now regular players.
