NVIDIA released its latest "Game Ready" driver, this one being marked Beta, instead of WHQL. In what is NVIDIA's third Game Ready driver release in the past three months, the new GeForce 344.65 WHQL is launched specifically for the week's hottest game release, Assassin's Creed Unity. The driver comes with optimizations for the game, its SLI profile, and optimal settings for GeForce Experience. While AMD launches WHQL-signed drivers every three or so months, NVIDIA seems to be making a habit of launching one ahead of every major game release. The company's new 344.60 WHQL "Game Ready" drivers, released today, come just in time for the year's biggest shooter, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. In addition, the driver comes with an updated PhysX System Software (version 9.14.0702), CUDA (version 6.5), and GeForce Experience (16.13.56.0). NVIDIA has now made available the GeForce 337.50, a new, beta-tagged graphics driver that is claimed to deliver 'performance gains of up to 71% in DirectX 11 games'. This release boosts both single-GPU and SLI performance while also including tweaks to reduce game load time, new and updated SLI profiles, plus 3D Vision optimizations.

The GeForce 337.50 beta supports GeForce 8, 9, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700 Series cards and comes bundled with GeForce Experience 2.0 which brings ShadowPlay desktop capture, advanced Twitch streaming controls, ShadowPlay for notebooks, and SHIELD GameStream support for notebooks.

NVIDIA today made available a new and WHQL-certified graphics driver, the GeForce 331.65. This release is claimed to deliver the 'best possible gaming experience in Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts' and comes with GeForce Experience v1.7 which offers support for both NVIDIA GameStream (allows users to stream PC games from their GeForce GTX-equipped PC directly to a SHIELD device) and for GeForce ShadowPlay (game capture tool, currently in beta).

NVIDIA is readying a new GeForce Experience feature called ShadowPlay. The feature lets you record or stream your gameplay in high-quality h.264 format, with minimal performance impact, in comparison to other third party apps, such as FRAPS and MSI Afterburner. While apps such as FRAPS capture from the DirectX pipeline, and strain various sub-systems by recording videos into near-lossless AVI formats, NVIDIA might be experimenting with an alternative method, besides recording in formats that don't strain the system too much. ShadowPlay is debuting with a new driver labeled GeForce 331.65 beta, which was leaked to the web. Screenshots of the GeForce Experience also reveal an applet by NVIDIA that lets you control LEDs on reference design GTX 770, GTX 780, GTX TITAN, and GTX 690. AMD partnered with PC gaming social network and clan-base service Raptr to launch its very own PC game settings optimization app that rivals NVIDIA's GeForce Experience. Named Gaming Evolved, the app takes a slightly different approach to finding the right settings for games, than GeForce Experience. While NVIDIA has dedicated teams of people running games through countless combinations of hardware to find the optimal settings for a given hardware configuration, Gaming Evolved relies on Raptr's 16-million strong community. Raptr clients relay anonymous game settings and hardware configuration data to Raptr. The best settings for given hardware configurations are pulled out of that data, through collaborative filtering. In addition to one-click optimization of game settings (a la GeForce Experience), the app gives you three of its own presets unique to your hardware - "best quality," "best performance," and "balanced."
