Unlike the PC-Q12, the PC-Q09FN features a shoe-box design, measuring 296 x 135 x 190 mm. Also unlike the PC-Q12, it features room for a slim optical disc drive (such as a slim Blu-ray writer), and a 3.5-inch drive. Apart from these, the PC-Q09FN features three 2.5-inch drive bays, one 120 mm fan to ventilate it from the side, and front-panel connectivity that includes two USB 3.0 ports.

Lian Li PC-Q18 Tops It Off With Features

The most feature-rich in the trio of Lian Li's new mini-ITX Q-series cases is the PC-Q18. It is designed for performance desktops and HTPCs. Measuring 199 x 290 x 365 mm (WxHxD), the PC-Q18 is designed keeping in mind the need for a performance machine to be airy, and is hence complemented with large fans. It can hold a mini-ITX form-factor motherboard with two full-height add-on card bays, hence having the ability to hold a double-slot graphics card.

Storage features include one 5.25-inch drive bay, which is valved; four (yes, four!) hot-swap capable 3.5-inch drive bays, with drive caddies that are so designed to accommodate up to three 2.5-inch drives. It has room for a 140 mm front-intake and a 140 mm top exhaust. Front-panel connectivity includes audio and USB 3.0. The chassis is made almost entirely of aluminum.

The second Lian Li mini-ITX form-factor case on display, targeting the HTPC segment, is the PC-Q15. Unlike the much taller yet feature-starved PC-Q12, the PC-Q15 is diminutive, but packs several storage and expansion features. It measures 210 x 210 x 330 mm (WxHxD), is wheeled, and made almost entirely of aluminum. It has one valved 5.25-inch drive bay, one 3.5-inch hotswap-capable drive bay, and three 2.5-inch bays. Surprisingly, it lacks an external drive bay, and the only storage bays it has are four internal 2.5-inch ones. It is ventilated by one top 80 mm exhaust fan. On its front-panel, it has two USB 3.0 ports.

Build a Cooler, Faster PC with the Revolutionary Lian Li PC-100 Case

Experienced case maker Lian Li has unveiled a radical rethink of the PC case, the new PC-100. The PC-100 is a long overdue redesign of the traditional PC chassis that improves cooling, prolongs component life, and saves space. This beautiful and compact mid tower case is roomy enough for the longest graphics cards and largest E-ATX/XL-ATX/ATX motherboards, thanks to its innovative layout. It is also remarkably easy to assemble without tools. Lian Li's innovative PC-100 is a breath of fresh air for the stagnant PC case market.

Superior cooling helps CPUs and graphics cards run at maximum speed without slowdowns or crashes due to overheating. This also means higher speeds for overclockers, and extends the life of disk drives and motherboards. However, traditional case layouts have two serious barriers to optimal cooling, performance, and ease-of-use: firstly, they block airflow with a wall of hard disk drives inside the front of the case. Secondly, important ports and connectors are at the back, making them difficult to access - a defect that manufacturers can only try to address by adding a few front panel connectors.

The PC-A04 divides HDDs between two cages, one that holds three HDDs and one that holds four HDDs. All of the HDD mounts are tool-less and come with anti-vibration thumb screws. The design of the PC-A04 allows users to mount these two cages facing the right, left, or backwards direction with either one on top of the other.
