EVGA Intros CLC 120 CL11 Liquid CPU Cooler

EVGA today introduced the CLC 120 CL11 all-in-one, closed-loop, liquid CPU cooler (model: 400-HY-CL11-V1). The cooler is based on an all new pump-block design that appears to be more cost-effective than the rounded-square pump-block EVGA uses on its original CLC series coolers. It lacks RGB LED lighting, but offers "improved coolant flow-rate, and higher surface-area for heat dissipation," according to EVGA. Taking advantage of the higher coolant pressure, EVGA deployed a slightly thicker radiator, which is 30 mm thick compared to the 27 mm thickness of the original's radiator.

This is a bi-metal liquid cooler, in that the block is made of copper, while the radiator is made of aluminium. The company still backs it with a 5-year warranty. The block supports only Intel sockets, including LGA2066, LGA2011(v3), and LGA115x. The other area of cost-cutting appears to be the included fan. It has a simpler impeller design than the one EVGA includes with the CLC 120, and only has 2/3rds its maximum airflow. The "Teflon nano bearing" makes way for simpler sleeve bearing; speeds range up to 1,800 RPM (the original spins up to 2,400 RPM), and maximum airflow is 58.87 CFM (against 74.87 CFM of the original). Available now, the EVGA CLC 120 CL11 is priced at USD $59.99, $30 cheaper than the original CLC 120.

Liquid Cooled AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition Now on Sale for $1,489.99

The liquid cooled version of AMD's latest graphics card meant for the "pioneering crowd" of prosumers has been made available over at SabrePC. It sports the exact same GPU you'd find on the air-cooled version, featuring all the same 4096 Stream Processors and 16 GB of HBM2 memory. The only differences are, and you guessed it, the higher cooling capacity afforded by the AIO solution, and the therefore increased TDP from the 300 W of the air-cooled version to a eyebrow-raising 375 W. That increase in TDP must come partially from the employed cooling solution, but also from an (for now, anecdotal) ability for the card to more easily sustain higher clocks, closer to its AMD-rated 1,630 MHz peak core clock.

You can nab one right now in that rather striking gold and blue color scheme, and have it shipped to you in 24H. Hit the source link for the SabrePC page.

ID-Cooling Intros the Hunter Duet II CPU+VGA AIO Liquid Cooler

ID-Cooling introduced the second edition of its Hunter Duet dual-block CPU + VGA closed-loop cooler. The new Hunter Duet II features improvements to the CPU and VGA pump-blocks that increase coolant pressure, and 50% higher heat dissipation thanks to the larger 360 mm x 120 mm radiator, compared to its predecessor's 240 mm x 120 mm. Like its predecessor, the design of the Hunter Duet II includes two pump blocks - a conventional block over the CPU, and one over the GPU. The GPU component features a cooler shroud with a fan which ventilates aluminium heatsinks over the memory and VRM.

The two blocks are attached in serial, while the heat is dissipated by the radiator, ventilated by three included 120 mm fans. The cooler has a combined thermal capacity of 500W. The Hunter Duet II supports newer CPU socket types, including AM4, LGA2066, LGA2011(v3), LGA115x, AM3(+), and FM2(+). Its VGA component supports most GPUs with mount-hole spacing of 58.4 mm and 53.3 mm. Its blocks feature ceramic bearings. The company didn't reveal pricing or availability information.

ID-Cooling Shows Multiple Air and Liquid Cooling Solutions at Computex 2017

ID-Cooling went on to Computex to showcase not only their air and liquid cooling solutions (for which they're really known for), but also to showcase systems fully equipped with the company's cooling portfolio (those are bonuses to the displayed at the end of this piece, though.)

Starting with the essence of life, ID-Cooling showcased their Frostflow+ 120, 240, and 280 products (whose numbering and naming scheme, as you might have guessed, inform the length of the radiator employed.) Their Frostflow+ 280 solution is certainly the most interesting, if only because of the usage of two PWM-controlled 140 mm fans to cool a 280 mm radiator. There's "premium sleeved tubing" here, as well as a high performance water pump design (but aren't they all). The Frostflow+ 240 is a more mundane, dual 120 mm fan solution, which nevertheless keeps all the features from the more premium (and better-performing) 280. The Frostflow+ 120 makes do with a "solid built" 120 mm radiator, and is apparently the only solution to incorporate any kind of LED lighting - namely, white in the pump cover. All fo these water cooling solutions are universally compatible with both Intel and AMD systems. All the units make use of a copper plate to make contact with your central processing unit of choice.

Colorful iGame GTX 1080 Ti Neptune W Liquid-cooled Graphics Card Pictured

Colorful showed off its flagship GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card, the iGame GTX 1080 Ti Neptune W. This card combines the same enthusiast-segment PCB featured on the iGame GTX 1080 Ti Vulcan X OC, with a factory-fitted all in one closed-loop liquid-cooling solution. The pump-block portion of it features a large base-plate in addition to the pump-block over the GPU, which conveys heat from the memory and VRM to the block. The card is then plumbed to a large 240 mm x 120 mm radiator with a pair of 120 mm fans. Out of the box, the card features reference clocks; but a secondary BIOS activated at the push of a button runs the card at an "insanely high" overclock. For now Colorful is keeping this clock profile a secret.

FSP Introduces the New Hydro PTM+ Liquid Cooled PSU

Electrical circuits and water have never liked to be the closest friends. However, computer hardware enthusiasts - and even the simply hardware curious - have been able to leverage liquid cooling solutions' higher thermal dissipation capabilities to reduce temperatures of their operating hardware. Now, FSP is looking to introduce something that has been seldom seen in other power supply units: liquid cooling.

Created in cooperation with Bitspower so as to meet the highest security and safety standards, the Hydro PTM+ is a unique, patented liquid cooled PSU. FSP claims that the the Hydro PTM+ is the world's first 80 Plus Platinum-certified, mass-produced liquid cooled PSU. It features LED lighting, which FSP says achieves a combination of great looks with amazing performance. The unique liquid cooling system, once enabled, increases the power rating from 1200W to 1400W. But, with an array of integrated sensors, the Hydro PTM+ also excels at efficiency, when running in silent mode (below 50% load) it still delivers 600W without the use of a fan for cooling, thus remaining in complete silence. Expect to see more of these units at Computex, where we'll perhaps learn about this unit's pricing. I assure you, however, that these won't come cheap.
