Giada Unveils the i35GB Mini PC Barebone

Giada Technology is now preparing the introduction of a new barebone system, one named i35GB which measures 190 x 149 x 26 mm. Seen below, the barebone comes equipped with a 1.86 GHz Atom D2550 processor and an NVIDIA GT610 GPU, and has support for up to 4 GB of RAM (DDR3-1066), for a 2.5-inch SATA drive, plus Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, optional Bluetooth, a multi-in-one card reader, five USB 2.0 ports, and D-Sub and HDMI outputs.

The i35GB's price tag was not announced.

Mouse Computer Announces LM-Series Mini PCs

Japanese PC maker Mouse Computer announced the LuvMachines Mini (Lm) series VESA-mount compatible nettops. It includes three models, the Lm-mini40B (base), Lm-mini40S (SSD-equipped), and Lm-mini40X (hybrid HDD-equipped, top). The three are based on a common design, which measures 5.2 x 153.6 x 172.6 mm (HxWxD), which can either latch on to your monitor via VESA wall-mount, or sit around on your desk with its stand. The base configuration includes an Intel Celeron 847 processor clocked at 1.10 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB HDD, Intel NM70 chipset, USB 3.0, 802.11 b/g/n, gigabit Ethernet, and Windows 8. It is priced at 29,820¥. The Lm-mini40S tops that with a 120 GB SSD, and is priced at 34,650¥. The Lm-mini40X leads the pack with 750 GB hybrid HDD, and is priced at 39,900¥.

ASUS Preps Two Windows 8-Running EeeBox Mini PCs

ASUS' EeeBox line of compact PCs will soon be expanding thru the release of two new models, the EB1035 and EB1505. Both models come with Windows 8 pre-installed and feature a 1.1 GHz Celeron 847 processor, 2/4 GB of RAM, up to a 500 GB hard drive (the EB1035 also includes a 32 GB SSD), Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a 4-in-1 card reader, two USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports, plus D-Sub and HDMI outputs.

The EB1505 also packs a slim optical drive (DVD writer or Blu-ray combo drive) and measures 193 x 39 x 193 mm, while the ODD-less EB1035 is 219 by 29 by 172.5 mm. No word on pricing.

Lenovo Debuts the IdeaCentre Q190 Mini PC and New C-Series All-in-One PCs

Acer Unveils the REVO RL80 Mini PC

Acer has just announced a new addition to its REVO line of mini PCs, the REVO RL80 which measures 8.26 x 2.13 x 8.26 inches and runs Microsoft's Windows 8. This model features a Celeron or Core i3 processor, Intel HD graphics, up to 8 GB of RAM, up to a 1 TB hard drive, a DVD writer or Blu-ray combo drive, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a multi-in-1 card reader, two USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports, and DVI and HDMI outputs.

The REVO RL80 is backed by a two-year warranty and starts at €279.

Acer Unveils Updated Veriton N Series Mini PCs

Acer is now preparing its next generation of mini PCs, the new Veriton N Series. Set to be available in two versions - with or without an optical drive, these incoming SFF PCs feature an Intel Celeron or Core i3 processor, up to 8 GB of RAM, integrated graphics, and up to a 1 TB hard drive (or an SSD topping 128 GB).

Acer's compact creations also have Gigabit Ethernet (WiFi is optional), a multi-in-one card reader, two USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports, plus DVI and HDMI outputs. The updated Veriton N Series PCs start at 356 Euro and will become available in November.

Gigabyte Unveils the GB-TCD Mini PC Barebone

Gigabyte Technology is currently preparing the release of a new barebone, one named GB-TCD which targets enterprise customers and is based around Intel's Cedar Trail platform. The GB-TCD measures 245 (D) x 180 (W) x 40 (H) mm, it packs a 1.8 GHz Atom D2550 processor and features support for up to 4 GB of DDR3 memory, one SATA 3.0 Gbps port (one 2.5-inch drive can be installed), mSATA and Mini-PCIe slots, Gigabit Ethernet, a 4-in-1 card reader, plus D-Sub and HDMI outputs.

No word on pricing yet.

Intel NUC 4-inch Mini PC Costs $400

Intel's Next Unit of Computing (NUC) 4-inch mini-PC concept is taking shape as more of a premium mini-PC, than an affordable mainstream PC. According to sources, the NUC will arrive some time in Q3 2012, priced at US $400. The base system will be powered by a Core i3 dual-core processor paired with HM65 chipset, about 4 GB of dual-channel DDR3 memory, 40 GB mSATA SSD, HDMI, mini-DisplayPort, WiFi, and Bluetooth. The first-generation NUC hence sticks to mature previous-generation components, while 7-series chipset, and 22 nm processors could be part of its specifications a little later. The demo system at Computex was driven by a Core i5 "Ivy Bridge" processor, with a Turbo Boost speed of 2.70 GHz. A cheaper Celeron-powered version of the NUC is also on the cards.

Giada Unveils the A51Mini PC

The Giada team has this week revealed its newest 'home entertainment and games center', the A51. Measuring 192 x 155 x 26 mm, this Mini PC comes equipped with an AMD E-300 or E-450 APU (accelerated processing unit), 2 GB of RAM (4 GB are supported), a 320 GB hard drive, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, a card reader, one USB 3.0 port and both D-Sub and HDMI outputs.

The A51 consumes just 30 W and will be available in black and white, with and without Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed.

Shuttle Also Intros New Line of Atom-powered Slimline Barebones

Shuttle also launched a new line of slimline, fan-less XPC Mini PC barebones driven by the latest Intel Atom D2700 processor. The XS35V3 and XS36V launched today, succeed the XS35/V2 launched last September, which were based on previous-generation Atom D525 chips. Measuring 252 x 162 x 38.5 mm (WxDxH), the XS35V3 features a slimline optical drive bay apart from a 2.5" SATA drive bay to hold an HDD or SSD. It has two DDR3 SO-DIMM slots, supporting up to 4 GB of single-channel DDR3-1066 MHz memory. Front-panel includes a card-reader (supports SDHC/SD/MS/MS Pro), and a USB 2.0 port. Its rear-panel includes stereo line-out and mic-in audio jacks, four USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port, and display outputs that include HDMI 1.3 and D-sub (VGA). It also features wireless b/g/n LAN.

The XS36V has a slightly smaller chassis, measuring 200 x 160 x 36 mm. It lacks a slimline optical drive bay, its only drive bay is a 2.5" SATA. Most of its logic board is identical to that of its sibling. Apart from the a card-reader (SDHC/SD/MS/MS Pro) and a USB 2.0 port, the front-panel features two RS232 serial (COM) ports. Its rear-panel is identical to that of the XS35V3. Both models include a 40W external power brick. The XS35V3 is priced around US $149, while the XS36V is priced slightly higher.

Stealth.com Intros New Mini PC Featuring 2nd Generation Intel Core Mobile Processors

Stealth.com Inc. (Stealth Computer) a leading ISO 9001 manufacturer of industrial rugged computers and peripherals has released their most powerful and advanced mini pc yet, the LPC-680 LittlePC. Manli Unveils Elite Mini PC

Manli, a brand owned by PC Partner, showed off its latest mini-PC, the Elite. Driven by AMD E-450 "Brazos" APU, the Elite is a barebone, that requires you to add the memory (a single DDR3-SODIMM slot is available), and storage (a 2.5-inch drive with SATA 6 Gb/s connection available). Pre-configured models with 2 GB memory and 320 GB HDD are available in select markets. Connectivity includes two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, a DisplayPort and HDMI connector for display, an eSATA port, Gigabit Ethernet, a multi-format card reader, audio jacks and built in 802.11b/g/n WLAN.

Giada Readies the Uni-box Intel-Based Mini PC

Continuing its push in the SFF (small form factor) segment, Giada is set to release a new Mini PC based around an Intel platform, the Uni-box. Seen below, the Uni-box makes use of a somewhat Apple-inspired aluminum chassis and boasts an Intel HM65 Express motherboard providing support for mobile Sandy Bridge processors, 4 GB of RAM, a 16 GB mSATA solid state drive, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, a multi-in-1 card reader, and both D-Sub and HDMI outputs.

Giada's Mini PC is said to consume as little as 30 W while delivering 1080p playback capabilities. No word on pricing yet but more info should come at CeBIT next week.

J&W Readies Cedar Trail-Powered Mini PC

Motherboard maker J&W Technology is currently preparing the arrival of its 2012 MINIX Mini HD PC, a compact (192 (L) x 60 (W) x 186 (D) mm), multimedia-ready barebone system based around Intel's Cedar Trail platform.

The 2012 MINIX can be equipped with an Atom D2550 (1.86 GHz) or D2700 (2.13 GHz) processor and has two DDR3-1066 SO-DIMM slots (supporting up to 4 GB of RAM), one 2.5-inch drive bay, onboard 5.1 channel audio, dual Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.0 and five USB 2.0 ports, and both D-Sub and HDMI outputs. No word yet on pricing or availability.

Epson Launches the Endeavor NP30S AMD-Powered Mini PC

Famed printer company Epson has now released in its home market (Japan) a nettop/mini PC based on AMD's Brazos platform. Known as the Endeavor NP30S, Epson's compact (20 x 154 x 173 mm) and light (760 g) system features a C-60 APU (two Bobcat cores @ 1.0 GHz, Radeon HD 6290 graphics), 2 GB of RAM, a 250 GB hard drive, Gigabit Ethernet, six USB 2.0 ports, and a DVI output.

The Endeavor NP30S costs 29,820 yen (~ $386) and can be found here.

AMD-powered Sapphire Edge HD3 Nettop Said to Ship Next Month

After releasing two versions based on Intel Atom processors, Sapphire is now preparing an Edge HD nettop/mini PC which is based around an AMD APU (accelerated processing unit). Showcased at CES 2012, the AMD-flavored Edge HD3 is equipped with an E-450 chip (boasting two 1.65 GHz Bobcat cores and Radeon HD 6320 graphics), 4 GB of RAM, a 320 GB hard drive, LAN, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, D-Sub and HDMI outputs, and USB 3.0 connectivity.

Reportedly, the Edge HD3 will become available on February 1st, priced at $300.
