Graphics card enthusiasts with a thing for earthy green hues, will likely appreciate Manli's latest products—its Gallardo graphics card range has expanded with two new models. The Asian and European market-focused manufacturer has already unleashed "refreshed" models that utilize NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 40-series SUPER GPUs, but the newest entries sport a revised signature green flagship "Gallardo" design. VideoCardz has pored over the small details—it turns out that Manli has produced a slimmer profile: "perhaps something that is not obvious is that Manli has introduced the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Gallardo already. The new version marks a second revision, featuring an entirely different aesthetic compared to its predecessor. The most important change is that it no longer occupies a 3.5-slot space." Manli has evidently put together a "much slimmer 2-slot version" under a "M3604+N693" moniker.

The non-Ti model is likely coming out soon, but Manli has not yet announced official pricing or launch date details for their newly redesigned Gallardo Ada Lovelace cards—official product pages were created last week. Despite flagship status, VideoCardz notes that Manli has not implemented any factory overclocking—the Gallardo range is often associated with: "system integrators like Sycom for further customization." The spec sheet advertises integrated LED lighting with seven available color cycles, four 6 mm copper heat pipes with segmented heatsinks, and a metal backplate for reinforcement and protective purposes.

EMTEK products rarely pop up on TPU's news section, but the GPU database contains a smattering of the South Korean manufacturer's Ampere-based GeForce RTX graphics card. VideoCardz has discovered an updated MIRACLE X3 White model—EMTEK's latest release is a GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB card. The triple-fan model seems to stick with NVIDIA's reference specifications—VideoCardz also noticed a physical similarity: "under the cooler shroud, the card boasts a non-standard U-shaped PCB, reminiscent of Team Green's Founders Edition. However, it remains uncertain whether EMTEK utilizes the same PCB as NVIDIA." The asking price—of ₩919,990—converts to around $680, when factoring in regional taxes. EMTEK's MIRACLE X3 cooling solution seems to be fairly robust—featuring four 6 mm heat pipes—so an adherence to stock clocks is a slight surprise. The company's GAMING PRO line includes a couple of factory overclocked options.

Sycom's "Silent Master" range of GeForce RTX 40-series graphics cards has welcomed two new GPU options: RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4070 SUPER. As evidenced in accompanying product shots, the Japanese manufacturer has partnered with Noctua—the latter's flagship NF-A12x25 120 mm PWM fan is utilized within Sycom's custom air-cooled solution. According to a press release, the original fan cover design "was created by Nagao Seisakusho/Nagao Industry."

Silent Master graphics cards are not factory overclocked—Sycom prefers to concentrate on quiet operation rather than heavily ramped up performance. A good chunk of their product pages are dedicated to audio recordings of hushed operation. They claim noise levels of 31.4 dB when idle, and 42.1 dB (max) for their GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB model. The GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB posted 31.4dB when idle and 37.9dB at full whack. Silent Master graphics cards are only available within "BTO option" systems—Sycom specializes in pre-built PC systems, with plenty of Noctua parts housed within.

Two months ago, NVIDIA introduced its GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series to the market, bringing a trio of models: RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4080 SUPER. Today, according to the report from ComputerBase, NVIDIA's latest trio has recorded a drop in pricing recently, and it now retails under MSRP in German stores. The RTX 4070 SUPER started with an MSRP of 659 Euros ($599 in the US) and is now available from 589 Euros. Its older brother, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, started with an MSRP listing of 889 Euros ($799 in the US) and is now retailing from 840 Euros. Lastly, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER has been listed at 1,109 Euros ($999 in the US) and is now retailing with a small discount at 1,092 Euros.

Once NVIDIA launched a new GPU generation, it became a custom for these cards to be retailed over their MSRP long before prices were adjusted and settled. However, with the latest SUPER refresh, this seems to be one of the fastest price adjustments. This could be caused by either an improvement in the supply chain or leveled supply and demand, making it so that these cards are finally trading below their launch-level MSRPs.

MSI is apparently preparing to unveil two more GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super graphics cards, the MSI RTX 4070 Ti Super Expert and the MSI RTX 4070 Ti Super Aero. The new MSI Expert series was unveiled at the CES show back in January, and currently, MSI only uses the design on the MSI RTX 4080 Super graphics card. On the other hand, the Aero series has been around for quite some time, but we haven't seen many of those cards, unless you count the Aero ITX version of the GeForce RTX 4060. As Videocardz.com notes, MSI actually has a total of 12 different RTX 4070 Ti Super designs, and that did not stop it from adding two more, despite the fact that the RTX 4070 Ti Super was only announced just over a month ago.

The MSI Expert lineup is quite an interesting design, announced back at the CES 2024 show, and uses a triple-slot design with a rather interesting fan placement taken from NVIDIA's Founder's Edition book. It features two fans, one at the front and one at the back of the card, pushing air in opposite directions. MSI has decided to call the new cooling solution the "MSI Flow Frozr". The front also features a mesh metal cover, which does look quite interesting.

Prices of the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card hit new lows, with a Sapphire custom-design card selling for $699 with a coupon discount on Newegg. This puts its price a whole $100 cheaper (12.5% cheaper) than the recently announced NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER. The most interesting part of the story is that the RX 7900 XT is technically from a segment above. Originally launched at $900, the RX 7900 XT is recommended by AMD for 4K Ultra HD gaming with ray tracing; while the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is officially recommended by NVIDIA for maxed out gaming with ray tracing at 1440p, although throughout our testing, we found the card to be capable of 4K Ultra HD gaming.

The Radeon RX 7900 XT offers about the same performance as the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, averaging 1% higher than it in our testing, at the 4K Ultra HD resolution. At 1440p, the official stomping ground of the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, the RX 7900 XT comes out 2% faster. These are, of course pure raster 3D workloads. In our testing with ray tracing enabled, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER storms past the RX 7900 XT, posting 23% higher performance at 4K Ultra HD, and 21% higher performance at 1440p.

ASUS today announced the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER Noctua OC Edition graphics card, designed for gamers and creators who seek cutting-edge performance that operates at whisper-quiet noise levels. A video review has highlighted some curious internal changes on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER Founders Edition graphics card—Geekerwan has discovered that the board design has been "updated" to a small degree, when cross examined with the non-SUPER variant. Team Green engineers have chosen to decrease the number of phases from 13 to 11, while the memory phase count goes from 3 down to 2. ASUS has quietly updated its product web presences with another Noctua collaboration OC Edition graphics card—the heavily customized GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16 GB GDDR6X model looks very familiar (in shades of brown); we suspect that the existing cooling solution, shroud and backplate designs have been transplanted from the existing RTX 4080 (non-SUPER) Noctua OC model. W1zzard was impressed by the 2022 version's affixing of twin Noctua NF-A12x25 fans, although a number of factors caused the ultra premium air-cooled ASUS card to miss out on an Editor's Choice award—mainly the $1650 launch price—perhaps deserving of an updated/retrospective "But Expensive" badge of honor.

VideoCardz believes that the SUPER iteration could launch with $200 subtracted (at a minimum) from the non-SUPER's original MSRP—the ASUS listing, naturally, does not provide any details regarding recommended retail pricing or a release date. It seems that reviewers have not received SUPER 16 GB Noctua OC Edition samples this month, so we suspect that the chunky brown Ada Lovelace monster will reach retail at some point later on in the first quarter of 2024.

NVIDIA today launched the third and final high-end GPU in its GeForce RTX 40-series SUPER refresh. The new GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER is being launched at an attractive $999 price, compared to the $1,199 that the RTX 4080 originally launched at. Besides this huge 20% cut in pricing, there's also more performance on offer, as the company chose to max out the 5 nm AD103 silicon that it's based on. If you recall, the RTX 4080 has 76 out of 80 streaming multiprocessors of the AD103 enabled, and its memory runs at an odd 22.4 Gbps speed. The RTX 4080 SUPER gets all 80 SM, and a well rounded 23 Gbps memory speed.

With 80 SM on tap, you get 10,240 CUDA cores, 320 Tensor cores, 80 RT cores, 320 TMUs, and 112 ROPs. The memory size is unchanged at 16 GB, across the 256-bit wide memory interface of the AD103; as is the total graphics power (TGP), at 320 W. All cards will include an NVIDIA-designed adapter that converts three 8-pin PCIe power connectors into a 12VHPWR that's capable of delivering 450 W of power. The target audience for this card is the same as that of the RTX 4080—maxed out 4K Ultra HD gaming with ray tracing. At $999, the RTX 4080 SUPER allows NVIDIA to better compete with the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX that's sometimes spotted for prices as low as $900. According to a VideoCardz report, NVIDIA is implementing a very last minute time shift with its GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER review program—embargo conditions have been delayed by a day to January 31, which coincides with the official retail launch day. We already know about non-specific sample units reaching reviewers a week (or more) in advance of Team Green's embargo date—thanks to various graphical benchmarks appearing prematurely on the Geekbench Browser database. The Geekbench Browser database was updated earlier today with premature GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER GPU test results—one entry highlighted by Benchleaks provides a quick look at the card's prowess in three of Geekbench 5.1's graphics API trials: Vulkan, CUDA and OpenCL. VideoCardz points out that all of the scores could be fundamentally flawed; in particular the Vulkan result of 100378 points—the regular (non-SUPER) GeForce RTX 4080 GPU can achieve almost double that figure in Geekbench 6. The SUPER's other results included a Geekbench 5 CUDA score of 309554, and an achievement of 264806 points in OpenCL. A late morning entrant looks to be hitting the right mark—an ASUS testbed (PRIME Z790-A WIFI + Intel Core i9-13900KF) managed to score 210551 points in Geekbench 6.2.2 Vulkan.

NVIDIA today released the latest version of its GeForce software. Version 551.23 WHQL comes with support for the new GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER graphics card, which is available from today. The drivers also introduce an interesting feature called RTX Video HDR. The feature attempts to construct HDR for standard dynamic range videos using AI, accelerated by the Tensor cores on NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs. You globally enable it through the NVIDIA Control Panel, in the "adjust video image settings" section. The drivers also introduce support for Ultra Low Latency Mode with DirectX 12 based games.

MAXSUN is an NVIDIA board partner focused on the Chinese domestic market. The company "innovated" a custom design GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER graphics card that breaks convention of a 12VHPWR power connector, and provides two regular 8-pin PCIe power connectors to draw power from. Although it's quite common to see custom RTX 4070 cards with single 8-pin PCIe power connectors due to its 200 W TGP, with the new RTX 4070 SUPER, NVIDIA increased the power limits, with the TGP now set at 220 W, which meant that nearly every board partner has had to implement the 12VHPWR connector, and include an NVIDIA designed adapter that converts two 8-pin PCIe to a 12VHPWR that's capable of 300 W continuous power delivery.

The MAXSUN card features an 8-pin native PCB design, it directly has the 8-pin connectors on the card, so there's no adapter included. China is a vastly compatibility-conscious market, and so such design choice go a long way to appeal to buyers. The presence of 8-pin PCIe connectors should particularly benefit case compatibility, where the connectors can tolerate much tighter cable bends than 12VHPWR, including with the NVIDIA-designed adapter.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER started selling today. The card is generally available, with the NVIDIA MSRP set at USD $599. The RTX 4070 Super is part of a three product refresh of the GeForce RTX 40-series product stack that NVIDIA announced at its 2024 International CES event, on January 8. It offers more performance for the price the RTX 4070 originally sold at, which now comes with a price cut to $549, with its real-world pricing expected to be between $510-560. The RTX 4070 SUPER is based on the same 5 nm "AD104" silicon as the RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 Ti, but comes with a decent bump in shaders over the original RTX 4070.

The GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER is configured with 7,168 CUDA cores—a 21 percent increase over the RTX 4070. It also gets an extra 16 ROPs, maxing out the 80 ROPs present on the silicon. What's more, NVIDIA also unlocked the full 48 MB of on-die L2 cache memory for the RTX 4070 SUPER, which is the same as the RTX 4070 Ti. The original RTX 4070 only has 36 MB of this cache enabled. Spare for 4 SM worth 512 shaders, the RTX 4070 SUPER is almost an RTX 4070 Ti, but there's one last differentiator—power limits. The RTX 4070 SUPER is configured with a total graphics power (TGP) of 220 W, whereas the RTX 4070 Ti has it set at 285 W. Some of the factory-overclocked RTX 4070 SUPER cards attempt to raise this limit by around 20 W. NVIDIA has decided to phase out the RTX 4070 Ti from its product stack, which finds itself replaced with the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, coming in next week.

Yeston, Chinese GPU AIB, has posted a preview of its upcoming Sakura RTX 40 SUPER cards, featuring a white PCB, a first for SUPER cards. The current RTX 40 Sakura models are set to be updated to these SUPER variants, with no reported visual changes. We already went hands on with the RTX 4080 SUPER Founders Edition yesterday at the iBUYPOWER booth, we caught another one of these on display, next to the RTX 4070 SUPER FE. There won't be an RTX 4070 Ti SUPER FE, which will be a custom-only launch. MSI has fielded a plethora of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series custom designed graphics cards at CES 2024—TPU staffers had their work cut out when documenting and taking photos of the many options on display.
