Sharkoon Unveils the Mask Midi Tower PC Case

Sharkoon Technologies has today revealed a new midi tower PC chassis, a model named simply ' Mask'. Seen below, the case measures 490 (L)x 210 (W) x 450 (H) mm, it weighs 6 kg and features a top I/O panel with two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports, two 5.25-inch drive bays, three 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch bays, two rear openings for water cooling tubing, and three built-in 120 mm fans (one at the back and two in front).

The Mask has yet to be priced.

Sharkoon Announces REX Water Cooling Edition Case

Sharkoon expands its range of PC cases and introduces the REX Water Cooling Edition Midi Tower for micro-ATX mainboards. A novel construction allows the installation of a 120 mm or 240 mm water cooling radiator in the top of the case. Thus, the midi tower is well prepared for space-saving installation of high-performance water cooling systems. Externally, the 6 kg case differs only slightly from the well-known REX series, the internal structure, however, was completely revised. Only micro-ATX mainboards can be installed, thus, the Rex Water Cooling Edition wins additional mounting space for large radiators.

For the alternative installation of an air cooler, thankfully nothing will stand in the way of a tower cooler with a width up to 205 mm and a maximum height up to 165 mm. A tinted acrylic window provides insight into the housing interior and the installed components. Order is ensured through a cable management system.

Sharkoon Readies the REX MWC Midi-Tower PC Case

Sharkoon Technologies has just unveiled a new PC enclosure, a midi-tower named REX MWC which can hold one micro ATX motherboard and has mounting space for 120 mm or 240 mm radiators. The case measures 455 (L) x 205 (W) x 435 (H) mm and also has an acrylic side window, a front I/O panel with USB 2.0 (x 4) and audio (x 2) ports and a top one with USB 3.0 (x 2) plugs, two 5.25-inch bays, three 3.5/2.5-inch drive trays, two pre-drilled holes for liquid cooling tubing on the rear panel, and three pre-installed 120 mm fans - two with blue LEDs in front and a LED-less one at the back.

The REX MWC has yet to be priced.

SHARKOON GSone Gaming Headset Goes On Sale

Sharkoon expands its range for computer gamers and introduces the GSone Professional PC Gaming Stereo Headset. The headset provides rich sound due to its high quality workmanship and thanks to the 53 millimeter premium speakers.

The lightweight, 325 gram GSone was specifically designed to meet the requirements of PC gamers. The ergonomic design, sturdy yet lightweight material characteristics and the padded, individually adjustable headband of the GSone ensures a good fit on a variety of different head shapes. The ear pads are circumaural in design and feature extra-large cushions. This results in less outside noise being perceived, while enhancing the overall wearing comfort. The gamer can thus concentrate on their game or communicating with their team. The volume can be easily adjusted by use of a dial on the right ear cup.

SHARKOON Releases the Bulldozer Midi-Tower PC Case

SHARKOON Technologies has now made available the Bulldozer, a midi-tower PC chassis for gamers and enthusiasts that are on a tighter budget. This new case measures 480 (L) x 235 (W) x 460 (H) mm, it weighs 6.5 kg and features a front I/O panel with two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, two 5.25-inch drive bays, and seven (4 x 2.5-inch and 3 x 3.5-inch) internal drive trays.

SHARKOON's case also has an acrylic side window, two (red, blue or green-colored) 120 mm fans (front and back), and it offers support for graphics cards up to 415 mm long. The Bulldozer comes in three color schemes (black/red, black/blue, black/green) and costs 49.99 Euro.

Sharkoon Unveils the MA Series Micro ATX PC Cases

Sharkoon expands its range of low-priced PC cases and introduces four new mini towers with the MA-A1000, MA-I1000, MA-M1000 and MA-W1000 for µATX mainboards. The cases are nearly identical and differ mainly in just the optics.

True to the motto "Save on space - not on possibilities!" the cases in the series provide, despite their compact size of 415 x 185 x 360 millimeters, space for up to eight hard drives/SSDs, which can be decoupled installed. In addition, graphics cards up to 340 millimeters in length as well as CPU coolers with a maximum height of 165 millimeters can be installed. The cases contain two 5.25" drive bays and a 3.5" drive bay. Pre-installed is also a Sharkoon BayExtension. Through this special installation frame up to four additional Solid State Disks can be attached. Two pre-installed fans, a 140 mm fan in the front and a 120 mm in the rear of the case ensure continuous air flow. Removable dust filters are located on the front and lower ventilation openings. In the versions without a window, an optional fan on the side panel can be installed.

Sharkoon Announces the GSone Gaming Headset

The GSone expands the range of stereo headsets from Sharkoon and sets entirely new standards. Due to its high-quality manufacturing and its rich sound quality, it is especially tailored to the requirements of PC gamers.

The ergonomic design, robust yet lightweight material characteristics and the padded, individually adjustable headband of the GSone ensures a perfect fit on a variety of different head shapes. Thanks to the comfortable, extra-large ear cushions, the headset offers the outstanding comfort during hours of gaming sessions. Sharkoon Launches the Rush Core Gaming Headset

Sharkoon expands its entry level PC headset series with a low-priced, closed design, gaming stereo headset. The new Sharkoon Rush Core stereo headset comes in a black/white color scheme and it's aimed at price-conscious gamers.

Due to the enclosed ear cup design ambient noise is reduced. The built-in speakers have a diameter of 40 mm and a maximum power of 150 milliwatts. The headband and earpieces are padded to ensure a comfortable fit during wear. In addition, it also features a swiveling, flexible microphone, which can be pivoted into the desired speaking position. The volume control is integrated into the 250 centimeter long cable and offers the possibility to completely mute the microphone. It is connected by means of two 3.5 mm stereo jacks, for the headset and microphone, respectively. The headset is ideal for games as well as other voice and multimedia applications. A transport bag is also included with the headset.

Sharkoon Announces Availability of FireGlider Optical Gaming Mouse

Sharkoon has expanded their range of gaming peripherals and presents a revised version of the popular FireGlider gaming mouse for lovers of optical mice. The new "FireGlider Optical" is now equipped with an optical sensor, which offers up to 3,000 DPI and 3,600 FPS. Through the DPI selector, the sampling rate of the sensors can be adjusted up to five levels from 400 to a maximum 3,000 DPI. The DPI levels are represented with different colors or color combinations.

The proven layout of the FireGlider was maintained and provides a matte finish with flame design. As before, the thumb rest ensures a secure hold. In the bottom of the FireGlider Optical is the famous Weight Tuning System, which consists of seven interchangeable metal weights. Thus, the weight of the mouse can be adjusted from 118 grams up to a maximum of 135 grams. Players can adjust the weight to suit personal preferences.

Sharkoon Announces Drakonia Black Laser Gaming Mouse

Sharkoon is expanding their range of gaming peripherals and presents a new version of the popular green Drakonia Gaming Laser Mouse. The new "Drakonia Black" comes in a gray-black design, rubberized surface and an Avago ADNS-9800 Laser Sensor with a sampling rate of 8200 DPI.

The Drakonia Black features the same ergonomic design with eleven buttons, 4-way scroll wheel and internal memory for user profiles. Through the corresponding configuration software, the functions of the buttons as well as the scroll wheel are freely programmable. However, the color of the Drakonia is new. The design of the dragon scales is now gray and black. In addition, a ADNS-9800 laser sensor from Avago is added, supporting up to 8,200 DPI and a maximum 12,000 FPS. The LED display on the mouse constantly indicates the DPI setting. Also new: the rubberized SoftSkin surface provides a soft feel with a maximum grip.

Sharkoon Intros Unique 5.25" Bay Extension Accessory

Enthusiast PC components maker Sharkoon rolled out an interesting new accessory that makes you put your vacant 5.25-inch drive bays to productive use. The 5.25" Bay Extension, as it's called by Sharkoon, is a double-sided drive form-factor adapter. On its top side, it provides room for either a 3.5-inch drive, or two 2.5-inch ones arranged next to each other. On its bottom side, it stacks up two additional 2.5-inch drives.

Measuring 116 x 146 x 37 mm (LxWxH), and weighing about 150 g, the 5.25" Bay Extension from Sharkoon, is made almost entirely of steel, with rubber vibration dampening washers for the 3.5-inch bay. It is available in four color options, black, blue, red, and green. The company did not reveal pricing information.

Sharkoon Announces Flexi-Drive GO

Sharkoon is expanding their range of affordable flash drives and introduces the new "Flexi-Drive GO" series. Additionally, the existing USB flash drive series was revised and now offers an improved read/write performance. Also new: The Flexi-Drive Ultimate is now available with 256 gigabytes.

The "Flexi-Drive GO" is a downwards compatible USB 3.0 flash drive, which replaces the manufacturer's previous USB 2.0 drives. Sharkoon thus focuses exclusively on the latest transfer standard and consequently removes USB 2.0 drives out of their program. The drives offer the latest transfer performance but are priced the same as the USB 2.0 standard of the previous series. They are available in 8, 16, 32 and 64 gigabytes. The Flexi-Drive GO, through USB 3.0, reaches a read rate of up to 80 MB/s and a write rate of up to 10 MB/s. The 8 GB version achieves a write rate of up to 5 MB/s. They support the operating systems Windows XP/Vista/7/8, Mac OS 10.x and Linux from Kernel 2.4. Dimensions are 55 x 18 x 8 mm (L x W x H) and weighs around 7 grams.

Sharkoon Announces New VS3 Case Series

Sharkoon introduces a new series of Midi-ATX cases. The models of the VS3 series are aimed at price-conscious budget customers who do not accept compromises in quality and features. The Standard models of the VS3 ATX case series offers three drive bays for optical drives and an externally accessible 3.5" drive bay. This can, as an example, be used for a card reader, fan controller or USB hub.

Behind the LED fan illuminating the mesh front sits the option for either two 3.5" hard drives and a 2.5" hard drive/SSD or alternatively a 3.5" hard drive and two 2.5" hard drives/SSDs. The components can either be mounted vertically or horizontally within the compact case, in order to incorporate graphic cards with a maximum length of up to 35 cm. The maximum height of the CPU cooler is 15.5 cm.

Sharkoon Announces A Trio of Gaming Mousepads

Sharkoon introduces three new gaming mouse pads, each for different applications. The stable Sharkoon 1337 Tough Gaming Mouse Pad, with its finely textured hard plastic surface, is especially designed for Teflon skates, providing maximum acceleration and precision movements. The underneath "rubber base" creates a non-slip grip even in the most action packed game situations. The natural rubber attaches itself firmly to any surface and also compensates for minor irregularities. With edge lengths of 355 x 255 mm and a low height of 3 mm, the pad provides ample action gaming space and convenience. "Tough" not only refers to the material, but also the design: The black background sports a yellow "Danger Shark Zone" warning logo. The mouse pad weighs 220 g.

Sharkoon Announces the X-Tatic Air Wireless Gaming Headset

Sharkoon is expanding their range of gaming headsets with a wireless version. The X-Tatic Air wireless multiplatform headset was developed specifically for the needs of console gamers. The stereo headset is compatible with Sony Playstation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PC and notebooks as well as TV sets and other sound sources with RCA audio outputs.

Installation is quite simple: The transmitter is quickly connected to the respective terminal through the enclosed adapter. Of course, all voice chat features on the consoles are fully supported. In regards to the PS3, the microphone function is connected directly to the gaming console via USB. The microphone input on the Xbox 360 controller is simply connected to the headset through the enclosed chat cable.

Sharkoon Also Readies the REX3 Value and REX3 Economy Cases

In addition to releasing the REX8 models Sharkoon is also preparing the introduction of two more midi tower PC cases, the REX3 Value and REX3 Economy. These entry-level chassis' are as big as the REX8 models (485 x 185 x 420 mm), they weight 6.5 kg and have three 5.25-inch and four 3.5-inch drive bays, a mesh front panel, six USB ports (6 x USB 2.0 for the Economy, 2 x USB 3.0 and 4 x USB 2.0 for the Value), seven PCI slots, and three holes for watercooling tubes on the back panel. Both cases support graphics cards up to 29 cm long and CPU coolers up to 16 cm tall. The REX3 Value also comes with two 120 mm LED fans, one in front and one at the rear.

The REX3 Economy will be available in black and the REX3 Value will come in black and white (and with a side window).

Sharkoon Rolls Out the REX8 Midi Tower PC Cases

Sharkoon has this week released a couple of new cases, the REX8 Value and REX8 Economy midi towers. Both models measure 485 (L) x 185 (W) x 420 (H) mm and feature six USB ports (2 x USB 3.0 plus 4 x USB 2.0 on the Value, 6 x USB 2.0 on the Economy), four 5.25-inch and four 3.5/2.5-inch drive bays, a mesh front panel, seven PCI slots, and three pre-drilled holes on the back panel for watercooling tubing.

The REX8 Economy comes only in black and costs about €39, while the REX8 Value, with its two pre-installed 120 mm fans (both equipped with LEDs) and side window, is available in both black (~ €46) and white (~ €48).

Sharkoon Announces Vertical Docking Station for SATA Hard Drives

Sharkoon presents two external hard drive docking stations for the USB3.0 interface, in which unobstructed SATA hard drives can be quickly and without effort connected to a computer or notebook. The two Sharkoon Vertical Docking USB3.0 stations, with a choice of either one or two fast-swap bays for SATA hard drives in 3.5 inch format, are equipped internally with a SATA II interface and externally with a USB3.0 SuperSpeed interface.

The disks are easily inserted upright lengthwise into the hard drive bay. A lockable front flap secures the drives against unwanted access while a rear fan helps prevent unwanted heat. The Sharkoon Vertical Docking Single USB3.0 Station with its hard drive bay and 40 mm fan measures 212 x 44 x 129 mm (L x W x H) and weighs 650 g. The Sharkoon Vertical Docking Duo USB3.0 Station with its two individually lockable hard drive bays and 50 mm fan measures 222 x 83 x 134 mm (L x W x H) and weighs 860 g.

Sharkoon Announces Successor for 5.1 Dolby Digital Console Headsets

Sharkoon presents the successor to their "X-Tatic Digital" 5.1 Dolby Digital headset series: The Sharkoon X-Tatic Pro comes with an improved design, more connectivity options and an additional Microphone Voice Monitoring (MVM) feature.

Designed to meet the needs of Gamers, the Sharkoon X-Tatic Pro delivers its full functional range to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 gaming consoles. With Dolby Digital decoder and Chat support, it provides optimal gaming sound with realistic 3D tone and spatial sound location on both platforms. Sharkoon Announces Card Reader and USB Hub for USB 3.0 Interface

Sharkoon is expanding their portfolio of USB3.0 devices: New products now available are an internal card reader, an external card reader and an external 4-Port USB3.0 hub for a SuperSpeed interface.

The Sharkoon Internal USB3.0 Card Reader can be mounted in either a 3.5 inch bay or with the illuminated adapter frame in a 5.25 inch bay to the PC case. To connect the external USB3.0 mainboard a 100 cm long USB3.0 cable with matching compatible bracket is attached. The unit supports SD (HC), SDXC, MMC, MS and CF, the most common card formats. In particular: SDXC (capacity up to 2 TB), SD(HC), microSD(HC), mini SD; CompactFlash: v4.1 with PIO mode 6 and Ultra-DMA mode 6, v5.0 with LBA48 (capacity up to 144 PB); MultiMediaCard (MMC): MMC specification v3.x, v4.0, v4.1 and v4.2, Databus x1, x4 and x8 Bit; Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick PRO Duo, Memory Stick Micro, Memory Stick PRO-HG and Memory Stick XC (capacity up to 32 GB), the card reader is compatible with the "Memory Stick Series" specifications MS v1.43, MS PRO v1.05, MS Micro v1.04 (MS HG Micro v1.00), MS PRO-HG Duo 1.03, MS XC Duo v1.00, MS XC-HG Duo v1.00, MS XC Micro v1.00 and MS XC-HG Micro v1.00.

Sharkoon 3-in-1 QuickPort with eSATA, USB3.0 Now Comes with FireWire

Sharkoon is expanding their range of "QuickPort" docking stations: The Sharkoon SATA QuickPort U3 FireWire is a true all-round talent in terms of fast data transfer and connectivity diversity. The hard drive adapter not only supports the eponymous FireWire standard, but with USB3.0 and eSATA also two other external interface standards. With the additional FireWire port Sharkoon now especially appeals to the Mac community, since their Apple devices primarily use a FireWire interface.

The new QuickPort model also provides three IEEE-1394 ports: one for the older 1394a standard (FireWire 400) and two for the faster 1394b standard (FireWire 800). The appropriate connection cables for all available ports are enclosed. The internal SATA interface supports the SATA standards 1.5 Gb/s to 6 Gb/s.

Sharkoon Announces Tactix Gaming Keyboard

Sharkoon announces the launch of the Tactix gaming keyboard. The Sharkoon Tactix Gaming Keyboard comes with an 18-key rollover, interchangeable WASD and Arrow keys. The black keyboard eliminates the need for multimedia keys and offers compact dimensions of 431 x 136 x 24 mm for a space saving design. Delivery also includes a handy, detachable wrist rest. The Sharkoon Tactix supports N-key rollover for up to 18 keys, now several key commands can simultaneously be performed quickly and precisely during action-packed gaming situations. Important for gamers is that the WASD and Arrow keys are highlighted in a nonslip rubber blue coating. For users who prefer a more discreet design, keys are in the default layout together with replacement tool.

Sharkoon Launches X-Tatic S7 Headset with Dolby Pro Logic II Support

With the Sharkoon X-Tatic S7, Sharkoon has thankfully updated the sound format by providing two additional sound channels for authentic and room-filling 7.1 surround sound. The headset supports the new "Dolby ProLogic" version IIx, which combined with "Dolby Headphone" technology generates authentic and room-filling 7.1 Sound for stereo headsets from analog stereo signals and digital 5.1 Dolby Digital signals.

In addition, Sharkoon has replaced the previous USB2.0 cable for an included USB2.0 Y-cable, providing a stable energy supply to the headset via a second USB port for current or weaker sound sources.

Sharkoon Announces New Multi-Bay RAID Enclosures

Sharkoon is expanding its assortment of external RAID hard drive enclosures: The Sharkoon 5-Bay RAID Station and the Sharkoon 8-Bay RAID Station contain both 2.5 and also 3.5 inch SATA hard drives. With its fast RAID controller, simple handling and high-quality finish, they together form a perfect base as a fail-safe backup system for private media collections or SOHO environments.

Both cases are presented in a classy medal design from black SECC steel. Concealed behind the plastic front door with a mesh insert is the mounting frame for hard drives in both 2.5 and 3.5 inch formats. Sharkoon is expanding their gaming product line with an extravagant looking laser mouse: The Sharkoon Drakonia Gaming Laser Mouse suitably matches its name with its bright green dragon scales and illuminating tribal dragon logo. The ergonomic design and rubberized sides ensure that the associated dragon rider has a comfortable and secure ride during long and turbulent missions.

The fire of the Drakonia burns from within: The AVAGO-ADNS-9500 laser sensor delivers to up 5,000 DPI resolution, 11,750 FPS frame rate, 30 G acceleration and 150 IPS speed. The set DPI rate is always in view of the gamer through the use of four colored LEDs. Low-sense gamers who frequently allow their dragons to be lifted in the air are supported by the Drakonia by its low lift-off distance of up to five millimeters.
