EK, the premium water-cooling gear manufacturer, is launching the EK-Quantum Vector² water block for the ASUS TUF models of the new AMD Radeon RX 7900 GPUs. This water block has been engineered to fit both versions of these GPUs, the XTX and the XT. The EK-Quantum Vector² TUF RX 7900 XTX D-RGB is a fully EK-Matrix7 compatible liquid cooling solution engineered exclusively for ASUS TUF Radeon RX 7900 XT and XTX GPUs. It encompasses a Vector² series water block and a black-anodized aluminum backplate in the same package. Like the rest of the Vector² series water blocks, its looks are dominated by minimalistic straight lines and the backplate coming around the side of the GPU to cover the PCB in its entirety.

What differs from all other Vector² water blocks is that the cooling engine for this water block has been rotated by 90°, making the fins perpendicular to the die. For optimal delta, the coolant flows over the Graphics Core Die first and Memory Cache Die after. Consequently, all MCDs get the same coolant temperature thanks to the high-precision 3D-machined acrylic jet insert.

ASUS today announced the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4070 Ti and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, two high-performance graphics cards ready to propel gaming rigs into the next generation. The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4070 Ti offers powerhouse next-gen performance in a slightly smaller package than its larger siblings, with all the style and substance users have come to expect from ROG Strix. At 3.15 slots thick and 336 mm long, this card provides plenty of surface area on its MaxContact heatsink for airflow, while retaining the latest cyberpunk design and ultra-rigid structure of its larger siblings. It also features three new 11-blade ASUS Axial-tech fans, which can push 31% more air volume and 56.3% more static pressure than its ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 predecessor—all at a lower power limit and with similarly low noise levels. A January 5, 2023 release date is being mooted by retailers for NVIDIA's upcoming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card, which is widely expected to be a re-branding of what would have been the RTX 4080 12 GB. Italian retailer Drako started a countdown for an ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 4070 Ti O12G custom-design graphics card, which winds down to January 5, and aligns with the rumored January 3 announcement of the card. It is also expected that reviews of the RTX 4070 Ti will be allowed to go live on January 4.

The GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB was supposed to max out the 4 nm AD104 silicon, featuring 7,680 CUDA cores across 60 SM (streaming multiprocessors), 60 RT cores, 240 Tensor cores, 240 TMUs, and 80 ROPs. The GPU features a 192-bit wide GDDR6X memory interface, to which NVIDIA is giving 21 Gbps-rated memory, yielding 504 GB/s of memory bandwidth. Its most interesting aspect is its power configuration, with a typical board power of 285 W, which makes it technically possible for board partners to use two 8-pin PCIe power connectors, unless they've been asked nicely to implement the 16-pin 12VHPWR connector.

ASUS today announced new versions of the TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and the Dual GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics cards that now feature GDDR6X memory for greater performance. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti has been an excellent sweet spot between price and performance for the past generation of graphics cards, and it has now been improved. The GDDR6X memory further boosts the capabilities of the 3060 Ti and expands the options available to the discerning PC DIY builder. ASUS is also updating the GeForce RTX 3060 with a new model featuring 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM to add even more possibilities for upgrading and assembling.

The ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB GDDR6X features the same triple Axial Tech fan design, solid aluminium backplate, and 2.7-slot form factor as its predecessor, as well as support for NVIDIA G-SYNC and GPU Tweak III. Supplementing that rock-solid foundation is the introduction of GDDR6X ultra-high-speed and error-correcting VRAM, setting up the GPU to deliver more frames per second than the previous iteration. A factory-overclocked version is also available, tuned in-house to make sure users get the absolute best performance right out of the box.

Although we're over a month away from any kind of actual availability of AMD's just announced Radeon RX 7900 cards, ASUS has already shown off what is the first custom Radeon RX 7900-series cards. The two cards are the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX and unsurprisingly the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XT. ASUS has gone for what the company calls a 3.63-slot design and the TUF cards appear to be a fair bit taller than the AMD reference designs. ASUS has gone with larger fans, which requires a bigger cooler shroud and the company claims they provide 13.8 percent more airflow and an eight percent increase in static pressure compared to its last gen—presumably Radeon RX 6900—cards, while maintaining the same noise level.

ASUS claims to have added wider vents on the backplate to help improve airflow and to have increased the total heat dissipation area by 22.8 percent, whatever that actually means, as ASUS didn't show off the rear of its cards. The TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX sports three 8-pin power connectors and has a 17+4 power stage design. Unlike AMD's reference cards, the ASUS TUF cards won't have a USB-C port at the rear, as the company has gone for three DP 2.1 ports and one HDMI 2.1 port. ASUS didn't reveal clock speeds and the remaining specs are as announced by AMD.

The others are based on the vanilla B650 (PCI-Express 4.0 x16 slot besides M.2 Gen 5 slots). None of the boards has more than 4 SATA 6 Gbps ports. The board to watch out for will be the ROG Strix B650E-E Gaming WiFi, as it could bring several high-end features into the mid-range, and if previous generations of AMD chipset are anything to go by, the B650/E retains CPU overclocking support.

Extreme overclocking is an enthusiast discipline where overclockers try to push their hardware to extreme limits. Enthusiasts pursuing large frequencies with their RTX 3090 Ti are likely users of this XOC BIOS. However, most likely, we will see GALAX HOF or EVGA KINGPIN cards with dual 16-pin power connectors utilize this.

As shown below, MEGAsizeGPU, the creator of this BIOS, managed to push his ASUS GeForce RTX 3090 Ti TUF with XOC BIOS to 615 Watts, so KINGPIN and HOF designs will have to be used to draw all the possible heat. The XOC BIOS was uploaded to our VGA BIOS database, however, caution is advised as this can break your graphics card.

ASUS today introduced the TUF Gaming AX3000 V2 wireless router. The Wi-Fi 6 router offers not just characteristic TUF Gaming product design, but also durability, in the way of multi-level heatsinks for the various hot components underneath, with a "nano-carbon coating." As a router, its specs are pretty mainstream—you get up to 2.4 Gbps in the 5 GHz band, up to 576 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band (which add up to the "AX 3000" nameplate). The wired networking consists of a 2.5 GbE WAN port, and four 1 GbE LAN ports, from which two ports can be aggregated to a 2 Gbps link when paired with a machine that has two 1 GbE ports. You also get a 5 Gbps USB 3.x type-A port that can turn any USB mass-storage device into a network share, or be used to share a printer; and security in the way of the latest WPA3. The company didn't reveal pricing.

ASUS is giving final touches the to the TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. This is the company's first TUF Gaming product based on the RTX 3050, which was, until now, given the ASUS ROG Strix and DUAL OC custom treatment. What's more interesting is its cooling solution, which appears to be the first TUF Gaming graphics card with RGB LED lighting—a change from the functional, industrial look of TUF Gaming graphics cards.

This is also the smallest iteration of the TUF Gaming cooling solution the company debuted with the RTX 30-series "Ampere," and features a dual-fan setup (compared to triple-fan on every other TUF Gaming product from this generation). The card comes with a strip of RGB LEDs lined along the top of the card, at the edge of the backplate. It's being reported that this RTX 3050 card is based on the smaller "GA107" silicon, instead of "GA106," and hence comes with a lower typical board power than GA106-based RTX 3050 cards, with no difference in performance.

ASUS today announced the ROG Strix LC GeForce RTX 3090 Ti and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards, arriving in Standard and OC editions. The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti features a record-breaking 10,752 CUDA cores, 78 RT-TFLOPs, 40 Shader-TFLOPs and 320 Tensor-TFLOPs of power.

The ROG Strix LC GeForce RTX 3090 Ti includes a closed-loop liquid cooling system that keeps temperatures and noise levels under control. Featuring a custom-designed cold plate that extends over the GPU die and the onboard GDDR6X memory and 560 mm tubing, consumers will have flexibility installing the radiator in larger cases or builds that also feature an AIO CPU cooler. The 240 mm radiator on the GPU is cooled by a pair of 120 mm ARGB fans designed to improve airflow at high static pressure. A blower-style fan and a low-profile heatsink under the shroud expel the heat produced by the power delivery components, all in a slim 2.6-slot design.

The Radeon 680M integrated graphics powering the AMD Ryzen 6000-series mobile processors is proving to be an entry-level discrete-GPU killer. TechEpiphany posted a video presentation showing the iGPU's real-world gameplay performance with the AAA title "Cyberpunk 2077" at Full HD (1080p), with a little help from FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). TechEpiphany used an ASUS TUF GAMING F17 notebook powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H "Rembrandt" processor that has the full Radeon 680M iGPU unlocked, with all its 12 RDNA2 compute units (768 stream processors), 12 Ray Accelerators, 16 ROPs, and 48 TMUs, enabled. The notebook also features a GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU, but for this testing, it was disabled.

The first part of the video shows the game running at 1080p and Medium-High settings, with FSR set at Ultra Quality. Here, the iGPU is managing 30-40 FPS. Real-time ray tracing is disabled. In the second part, they enabled ray tracing and FidelityFX Super Resolution, but this is where the iGPU runs out of steam. Frame-rates drop to unplayable levels, but there still aren't any noticeable visual artifacts or rendering errors typically associated with iGPUs made to render games above their pay-grade. It's still impressive to see that AMD following through on its promise of bringing 1080p gaming across a broader range of titles. ASUS seems to want a bigger slice of the game streaming market, as it was showing off its second such product during CES, in the shape of the TUF Gaming Capture Box FHD120. This should be a cheaper variant of its previously launched TUF Gaming Video Capture Box CU4K30, as it lacks 4K and even 1440p capabilities, but this is unlikely to be a problem for most gamers that would be using it to stream their gaming sessions. It does at least support 120 Hz recording, or 120 FPS if you prefer, which still puts it ahead of much of the competition, assuming it'll be competitively priced.

ASUS changed the design quite a bit compared to the CU4K30 and the FHD120 is more squared off, but with protruding bits in the corners. The LEDs have also been moved to the TUF logo on the top of the device, rather than being a light bar at the front of the device. Connectivity appears to be nigh on identical, with both devices sporting a pair of HDMI 2.0 ports, although the FHD120 doesn't appear to support more than 60 FPS passthrough above 1080p. Both devices also have one USB-C 3.2 gen 1x1 port, aka USB 3.0 at 5 Gbps, as well as a combo headset jack and a separate combo jack that can be connected to a gamepad. You obviously still need a PC to do the video compression, as the video is sent uncompressed from the FHD120 to the computer. No word on pricing, but the CU4K30 has an MSRP of US$210, so we're expecting a US$150-175 MSRP range if ASUS intends to be competitive.

It looks like GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is indeed the name of the maxed out "Ampere" GA102 silicon, and NVIDIA did not go with "RTX 3090 SUPER" for its naming. A picture emerged of an ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card that confirms the naming. The board design of the card looks similar to the RTX 3090 TUF Gaming, except that the Axial-Tech fans have changed, with more blades on the impellers.

The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is expected to max out the GA102 silicon, featuring all 10,752 CUDA cores, 84 RT cores, and 336 Tensor cores, physically present on the silicon. The memory size is unchanged over the RTX 3090, with 24 GB of GDDR6X memory. What's new is that NVIDIA is reportedly using faster 21 Gbps-rated memory chips, compared to 19.5 Gbps on the RTX 3090. The typical board power is rated at 450 W, compared to 350 W on the RTX 3090. NVIDIA is expected to announce this card at its January 4 press event along the sidelines of the 2022 International CES.
