ViewSonic has launched its first 24" 3D-LED monitor, the V3D241wm-LED, giving people the opportunity to watch 3D content in full HD. ViewSonic Europe will be previewing its new range of 3D devices and digital media players at IFA 2010, Hall 14 Stand 107. ViewSonic Unveils Green LED-Backlit Full-HD Monitor

ViewSonic's latest monitor jumps the 'green' (eco-friendly) bandwagon. The VA2250wm is a 22 inch (21.5 inch viewable) LED-illuminated LCD display which pushes the power envelope down to 26W during typical usage, which the company claims to be 40% lesser than tradidional LCD displays with CCFL-illumination. At its size, the panel is full-HD capable (native resolution of 1920 x 1080), has a response time of 5 ms, brightness of 250 cd/m², and contrast ratio of 1,000:1 (dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1). The display has 2W stereo speakers inbuilt, it has a piano-black bezel with a dash of clear acrylic. It takes display input from DVI and D-Sub. Priced at around $225, the VA2250wm is expected to ship in late May.

ViewSonic, best known for its iPod loving LCD monitors, has demonstrated its first 120Hz desktop LCD technology today at NVIDIA's NVISION 08 event in San Jose, California. The 22-inch ViewSonic VX2265wm prototype delivers exactly twice the refresh rate of most current LCDs (60Hz) and eliminates the blurring, ghosting, and other side effects that usually occur during fast-moving scenes. The 120Hz VX2265wm claims to have a response time of 3ms Motion Picture Response Time (MPRT), a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits of brightness and 2x2W stereo speakers.
