PNY Rolls Out XLR8 CS3030 Series M.2 NVMe SSDs

PNY today rolled out the XLR8 CS3030 line of high-end SSDs in the M.2-2280 form-factor. Featuring M.2 PCI-Express 3.0 x4 interface, the drives take advantage of the NVMe 1.3 protocol. The company didn't mention which controller it is using, but that it's mated to 3D TLC NAND flash. Available in capacities of 250 GB, 500 GB, and 1 TB, the XLR8 CS3030 has among the highest on-paper maximum sequential-read numbers, at up to 3,500 MB/s. The 250 GB variant writes at up to 1,050 MB/s, the 500 GB variant at up to 2,000 MB/s, and the 1 TB variant up to 3,000 MB/s. Endurance of the three variants is rated at 380 TBW, 800 TBW, and 1,650 TBW, respectively. The company did not put out random-access numbers. Available now, the XLR8 CS3030 series SSDs are backed by a 5-year warranty.

PNY Reveals Their RTX 20-Series Lineup of Partner Graphics Cards

PNY has taken the lid of their RTX graphics card lineup, revealing a total of 9 (at least, for now) models that will be sold under the new graphics card lineup. For now, PNY's store only offers purchase options for the RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2080 graphics cards, with the RTX 2070 only featuring product pages, but no pricing information.

PNY's product differentiation stands, as always, with factory overclocking and the cooling solution employed. There are two RTX 2080 Ti graphics cards - the RTX 2080 Ti 11GB Blower, which caters to the audiences that NVIDIA has left behind with their in-house designs (which now all feature a dual-fan cooling system), and the RTX 2080 Ti 11GB XLR8 Gaming Overclocked Edition ($1,299) with a triple-fan, LED-infused design. For now, there's no information on finalized clock speeds, and both cards feature NVIDIA's reference 1525 MHz core clocks on their specs listing.

PNY Announces the GeForce GTX 1080 XLR8 OC Graphics Card

PNY today announced its premium custom-design GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, the GTX 1080 XLR8 OC. The card combines an NVIDIA reference-design (Founders Edition) PCB with a custom-design air-cooling solution, to support factory-overclocked speeds of 1708 MHz core, 1848 MHz GPU Boost, against reference-design clocks of 1607 MHz core and 1733 MHz GPU Boost. The memory is left untouched at 10 GHz (GDDR5X-effective).

The cooling solution features a split aluminium fin-stack heatsink to which heat drawn directly from the GPU core is fed to two aluminium fin-stacks by 8 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes. The heatsink is ventilated by a trio of 80 mm fans, which stay off when the GPU is idling. The card draws power from a single 8-pin PCIe power connector, display outputs include three DisplayPort 1.4, and one each of HDMI 2.0b and dual-link DVI. Both cards appear to be based on designs originally made by Palit. Based on the 28 nm GK106 silicon, the GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost packs 768 CUDA cores, 56 TMUs, 24 ROPs, and a 192-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, holding 2 GB of memory. The base model PNY XLR8 GTX 650 Ti Boost is priced at US $169.99, while the OC variant goes for $179.99.

The pictures reveal the card to stick to NVIDIA reference-design of the GeForce GTX 680, with its signature XLR8 (sounds like "accelerate") Enthusiast Edition sticker design. According to the source, the card sticks to NVIDIA-reference clock speeds of 1006 MHz (base), 1056 MHz (boost), and 1500 MHz (memory). PNY's doesn't include "Bonus" trialware, but does include a free 3-month subscription of ESEA Premium (we assume this deal is only available to buyers in North America).
