The 65 percent HYTE keeb SR65 will be available for pre-sale in a limited, 1,000-unit run featuring a 5-pin hot-swappable PCB for future keyboard modifications and extended switch compatibility.

Housed in a frosted polycarbonate base with a bead blasted satin silver aluminium top case, the keeb will come fully loaded with Durock V2 Gold Wire Stabilizers and the choice between three Durock switch variants: Linear 'Pink' (65 g bottom out), Linear 'Yellow' (55 g bottom out), and Tactile 'Teal' T1 (67 g bottom out). A barebones version of the keeb SR65 will also be made available to customers who want to take advantage of using their own switches, keycaps and stabilizers. The chassis at the foundation of the system can hold either a classic ITX based system with the GPU connected with an flexible cable on the backside of the motherboard or may be used to house the just announced Intel NUC Extreme platform. Either way, the platform offers maximum flexibility for building small form factor systems.

This is done with a suspended frame inside the chassis which can be pulled out completely for easy assembly. The covers may also be flipped around, giving you additional space. iBuyPower is working on brackets which can hold low profile fans or additional storage if you choose to rotate the top mesh cover for example. The Revolt GT3 is still being fine-tuned and the variant we saw for the NUC Extreme Platform was 3D printed while the additional mounting components for cooling and storage were not final yet either

During the CES 2020, we stopped by iBuyPower's booth, where we were shown a work in progress for an ambient lighting solution for your living room which mimics the setup of a 5.1 surround sound audio solution. It is a WIFI connected lighting setup, which enables you to adjust lighting based on what is playing on the TV or adjust it to suit your mood. The shown implementation did not include any speakers, but that is an option being considered. In addition to the 5 channels being placed traditionally around your TV, there is one square element that is intended to go on the ceiling, but as each light required separate power this could be an issue with very few living rooms coming with a plug in the ceiling to accommodate this. The whole setup can be controlled via software on your PC or an app on your phone, but as this is just a first version of the whole setup, things are prone to change before it hits retail as well. That said, while some may have had enough of the RGB craze, the lighting was quite immersive and could be interesting for gamers or movie aficionados.
