Introduction

HiFiMAN Logo

HiFiMAN is well known for their planar magnetic headphones which are held in high regard in the audiophile community. Lately, we have been testing a few Bluetooth headphones from HiFiMAN, and thus far, they have been on point. The new Deva is slightly different as it doubles up as a conventional headphone when you detach the small Bluemini module.

The modular approach is interesting because it makes using a high-end amplifier and DAC combination at home or just plugging in the Bluemini when on the go possible. HiFiMAN's Bluetooth implementation for the Deva leaves nothing to be desired. You get full Qualcomm Apt-X HD along with LDAC support. The lower-end codecs, such as SBC and AAC, are still supported, but will probably leave you wanting in terms of sound quality.
