Introduction

The NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX is the current highest end product from NVIDIA when looking at single card configurations. Of course there is the 9800 GX2 which is faster, but it's a dual GPU product.

Palit has been following the NVIDIA reference design to the letter with their Palit 9800 GTX, so the sample should be very similar to other boards using the reference design.

Packaging & Contents

Palit's package uses some sort of metallic foil to achieve a silverish look that leaves a good impression when looking at the package. On the front you will see the Palit Frog and the product name, on the back more detailed info in multiple languages.

The Card

Palit uses the NVIDIA reference design cooler but has put some of their own stickers on the heatsink assembly and the fan hub. The card requires two slots in the case.


The card has two DVI ports, basically the most common output configuration these days. In case you need an analog VGA port you can use the included DVI adapter. When using an HDMI adapter (not included), you will also have access to HDMI+HDCP+Audio, which allows easy setup of a media PC.
