Unreal Tournament 2004

I ran this test a couple of times, just to make sure that there was no mistake in it. At 1024x768 all of the past high end cards and the GeForce 7900GTX score about the same in FPS. But once the resolution was pushed to 1600x1200 with AA and AF turned on, the GeForce 7900GTX did not drop a single frame during this test. The game was released in March 2004, just over 2 years ago, so it was still a challenge to older or less expensive cards, but now has become CPU bound at high resolutions as well.

Half-Life 2

Here we can see that the Benchemall Half-Life 2 benchmark at 1024x768 has become completely CPU limited. When the resolution and the image quality is pushed to 1600x1200 a small change is seen, in favor for the 7900GTX, but here the CPU is holding us back as well.
