Conclusion

  • The Antec GX700 sells for around €55 including taxes and $55 including taxes.
  • Excellent exterior construction
  • Lovely details on the chassis
  • Metal covers on the front
  • Awesome looking fan controller
  • Ships with three fans: 2x 140 and 1x 120 mm fan
  • Screw-less 5.25" bays
  • Plenty of space for large hardware
  • Can take water-cooling without issue
  • Long graphics cards should easily fit
  • Well rounded I/O
  • Dust filters for PSU
  • Cool color scheme of 2 colors
  • Plastic locks for external drive bays don't hold well
  • Top drive bay actually not a full bay
  • Minimum amount of screws included
  • Breakout expansion-slot covers
The first impression of the Antec GX700 is awesome as its military green and black color scheme really strikes a cord. It also offers incredible value by clocking in at just above the 50 EUR/USD mark with a fan controller and three fans right out of the box. The attention to detail and its military look are awesome as well. The chassis can hold plenty of drives and has space for large components, making it a great choice for a cool gaming rig. While this is all great for a chassis of this price point, the budget genes do surface from time to time as Antec utilizes plastic locks for the external drive bays and break-out covers for the motherboard-expansion slots. If you do not mind those aspects and are fine with installing an optical drive into the second slot instead of the top, the Antec GX700 is not only an awesome-looking chassis for the price, but also well worth keeping for future builds.
