Another year has gone by from last March, and that means one thing in the computer world - CeBIT is back. CeBIT stands for Centrum der Büro- und Informationstechnik, or translated to english - Centre of Office and Information technology. It is located in Hannover, Germany at the Deutsche Messe AG fair grounds, which is a massive group of buildings composing of 35 halls for exhibitions. Being held in March, and running since 1986, CeBIT is the largest computer/IT show in all of Europe.
When it comes to computers, telecommunications, business, or anything to that matter; CeBIT has it. With visitor numbers in the hundreds of thousands from all over the world, and more than 6200 exhibitors from over 70 countries, it is a sight to see. CeBIT this year is being held from March 15th to the 21st, and will be held March 4th to the 9th in 2008.
The first few days of CeBIT are mainly for business, while the weekend of this year's show was open more towards the end user. It gets extremely busy and crowed at times, making it difficult to move around. However, the atmosphere of the show is amazing. There are so many sights to see, and places to visit. The fairgrounds themselves are a sight to see as well. The shear size of CeBIT is impressive, and makes you realize how much computer gear is really out there.
This year at CeBIT, techPowerUp! has more staff present, and hopefully we can provide our readers with more from the show than in previous years. We hope you enjoy our coverage of CeBIT 2007!
