Introduction

Corsair is not a new name to the PC DIY industry, having started with memory to then expand to cover almost everything one needs for a full PC build. Thanks to some partnerships and exclusives, especially with Cherry, PC enthusiasts around the world now look forward to what comes next, and it is impressive how far along Corsair has come despite their entry into the peripherals market having taken place just a few years ago. In 2014, they were the first to introduce RGB-per-key lighting on their keyboards, and now, it is a feature on most keyboards meant for gamers. They revamped the K65 and K70 lineup in 2016 by reintroducing a USB pass-through port and improving their hardware drivers to support full 16.8 M colors. Missing then was the update to their halo keyboard product - the K90/K95 class. Today, we get to finally see their update aptly named "K95 Platinum," and it will be Corsair's flagship keyboard for a while.


There are a few immediately noticeable changes here since there are six dedicated "G-keys" instead of the eighteen as before, and the USB pass-through port makes a comeback, a light bar adorns the top, and there is a profile-changing button at the top that hides a new feature with Corsair peripherals.
