Introduction
Crucial has been a known and trusted memory brand many enthusiasts have put into their system, generation after generation. Some have then pushed their Crucial sticks to the limits of those speeds that were available, more often than not using Crucial's own Ballistix brand of memory when doing so. Recently, we've had news that Crucial is turning the enthusiast Ballistix branding into its own company, but there are still many kits out there on the market with Micron's consumer-facing division called Crucial. Today, we take a look at one of those products.
Crucial's Ballistix Tactical DIMMs do not have huge heatspreaders, but their capacity is huge if you buy the right sticks. Now featuring speeds of up to 3000 MHz, the Ballisitx Tactical DIMMs are built for speed through and through, without all the LEDs and such some other brands have. With a simple gray metal heatsink that is highly reminiscent of the barrel of some sort of projectile weapon, the Crucial Ballisitix Tactical DIMMs just might be Crucial's best yet.
