Introduction

Gigabyte has been around for a long time, known for rainbow-colored products in the past, while more recently they've changed their look, and they have also changed a fairly big part of their hardware design too. Their Intel Z77 Express products are the culmination of several years of innovation and advancement in design that few can match; gone are the technicolor slots, and here to stay is a highly-focused product design that centers on the individual needs of users, each met with a different product line. I've already reviewed the Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H, a board focused on every-day users who like a decent stable overclock, while still having all the features a platform can offer. The G1.Sniper M3 is designed with a far different user in mind, and is much more of a minimalistic approach, with specific added features targeted towards mATX form-factor gamers, and LAN party boxes.

There's been a big change in the features offered within the G.1 Killer lineup this time around, with a new Creative audio chip, and a new LAN chip as well. The addition of mATX-sized products is new too, a direct answer to consumer requests for such a product, as all previous G1.Killer products from Gigabyte have been in full ATX or larger formats.
