Logitech UE 900 In-ears Review

The Package & Closer Examination »

Introduction

Logitech UE is a brand that was formed after Logitech bought Ultimate Ears a while ago. Ever since the launch of the new brand, people have been waiting for a pair of new universal high-end in-ears, and the Logitech UE 900 in-ears were launched not too long ago. The UE 900s drop right into the same price-tier as the Westone 4s and Phonak Audeó PFE 232s with a $400 price-tag. The UE 900s do, just like the Westone 4s, have a quad-driver design with a three-way cross. Now, Logitech UE has definitely upped the value by including a huge fit kit with two cables – one has a remote with a microphone and the other one does not. This enables these in-ears to compete with the Westone 4R plus talk-cable combo that is over $100 more expensive; at least feature-wise. Its fit kit puts the UE 900s at the value end of the high-end universal in-ear spectrum in terms of features, and we are in for quite a ride if they sound good to boot.
