The PC Power & Cooling Silencer MK3S400 performed well in all tests I conducted. Efficiency was satisfying (except at 20% load), voltage regulation at +12V is outstanding especially for the category this PSU belongs in. Ripple suppression is superb and along with the modular design and the five year warranty this PSU will serve its purpose very well: to power a low-end system. Its major problem is the somehow high price which lowers the performance per dollar ratio. To be more specific the stronger Silencer, the
MK3S600, is a better deal for your money costing only $20 more but offering at the same time additional 200W and two PCIe/EPS connectors, so it's more future proof. However with the current mail in rebate the price of the MK3S400 drops to $49.99 making it a really good deal. At this price, and if you don't want to spent 20 bucks more to buy the 600W version, it's really hard, if not impossible to find something better to buy. But my final verdict is based on the official price, since MIRs are not permanent, so I can't give a TPU recommendation due to the average performance per dollar ratio it exhibited with the official $69.99 price.
