Value and Conclusion

  • The price of a simple 7900GTX is set at $499 US Dollars, so expect the part without the "Extreme Games Bundle" to sell at just that price. The bundle with the games, should cost you a bit more. For all the European readers, I managed to grab my card for 490€ shipped, which is an awesome deal, but the card usually costs around 539€ with the games bundle.
  • Very quiet for a high-end card
  • Future proof BTX upgradeable
  • Three years warranty
  • Great games bundle
  • Cheaper than most other 7900GTX graphic cards
  • SLI is much simpler than Crossfire for high-end cards, just get a second one from any manufacturer
  • Shockingly inadequate packaging
  • Very poor OC on this one card
  • Only one DVI to VGA Adapter
Point of View has managed to produce a card which has everything you are looking for, right where it counts. You will not find any fancy extras, like lighted fans, unique heatsink designs, custom colored PCB or stickers. You will get performance, just as you would expect from such a high-end card and the games included are new enough to push the card hard to make you notice your investment. So if you are looking for a no gimmicks card, this is definitely the weapon of choice. The biggest downside may be the bad overclocking behavior, but considering that other firms charge 10-20% more a single digit percentile MHz boost on the core and memory, this card still is worth every cent.
