Overclocking

To find the maximum overclock of our card we used a combination of AMD internal overclocking software and our benchmarking suite.



The final overclocks of our card are 754 MHz core (31% overclock) and 943 MHz Memory (5% overclock). While the memory overclock is not very spectacular, the core overclock is. Essentially this means you can overclock your card beyond HD 4850 speeds to make up for the missing shaders.

Temperatures

PowerColor's HD 4830 shows quite low operating temperatures in our testing. However, they are higher than what I would have expected given the fairly noisy fan.
