Finished Looks

The SilentiumPC Fera 2 HE1224 does very little to stand out, but it comes at a price where it can't be expected to wow with its appearance. Instead, it offers efficient cooling at an amazing price, although a couple improvements in terms of looks wouldn't hurt.

The black PWM fan contrasts nicely with the bare aluminum finish as the sleeved fan cable keeps the atypically ugly wires hidden from view.

Clearance around the socket is also fairly decent. Much like other traditional tower coolers, users won't have any problems connecting the EPS 12V connector to the motherboard.

While a very close fit for most memory modules, memory clearance is also exceptional on LGA1150. Most kits should fit in well right next to this cooler. Kingston's HyperX Beast memory, for example, cleared just fine; however, thicker heat spreaders may pose a problem.

SilentiumPC provided a second fan, so I will also test the cooler's performance with a dual-fan configuration.
