Introduction

Zotac is a new player in the video card business. They are manufacturing only NVIDIA video cards and were established early this year. However, they have great potential because they are affiliated with PC Partner who are supply cards to Sapphire for example too.

The GeForce 8500 GT is based on NVIDIA's new G86 graphics processor, which is the new low-end product. Unlike NVIDIA, Zotac chose to clock the GPU at 700 MHz instead of NVIDIA's original 450 MHz reference design.
