Settings: Startup
If you want to apply certain clock/gamma/memory timing settings every time you load ATITool, or every time you start your system you have to set it up on this page.
The first drop down box “Every time ATITool ...” selects, which profile will be loaded on ATITool startup.
Load on Windows Startup via
Possible options are:
- Registry Key - this will load ATITool for all users and it will not be displayed in the Startup folder of your start menu, making it more “transparent”. This is usually the option you will want to use.
- Start Menu (All users) - this will load ATITool for all users on Windows startup
- Start Menu (Current user) - if you have multiple user accounts on your system and want to use ATITool only for the currently logged in user, select this option.
Exit after loading...
If you want to use ATITool only for loading a profile and then you have no further use for it during your session, check this box. ATITool will then close immediately after the profile is loaded. This helps a bit with memory consumption.
However, if you need features for which ATITool has to be running in the background (like 3D-Detection or Temperature Monitoring), do not put a checkmark here.
Windows Vista
Since the application requires Administrator privileges, Windows will block the startup on Vista using the normal methods outlined above. In order to work around this you can create a task in Task Scheduler set to run the program with highest privileges at startup. This may only work if you are an Administrator.
