Super Talent Rolls Out Dual Channel DDR3 Kits for P55 Core i5 and Core i7 Systems

Super Talent Technology, a leading manufacturer of Flash storage solutions and DRAM memory modules, today announced a line of 4GB dual channel DDR3 kits for Intel P55 based Core i5 and Core i7 systems in speeds ranging from DDR3-1600 to DDR3-2200.

These nine new kits were designed to deliver excellent performance in the new breed of P55 based motherboards, supporting clock speeds up to 2200MHz in the fastest Core i7 systems. Each kit is hand tested in Super Talent's factory at tuned latencies that further enhance performance.
According to Super Talent Marketing Director, Joe James, "These kits, when paired with an enthusiast P55 system, are capable of reaching amazing speeds that will take overall system performance to new levels." I love supertalent! I had a set of DDR 2 800 from this company and it was hands down the best set of ram I ever owned for cool running, HIGH clocks, low voltage. I would not hesitate for a minute to switch my my XMS's for these once I see the prices. (Supertalent is USA too)

Question. Why are many Dual Ch DDR3 kits being advertised as "for Intel P55" or "for Core i5" specifically? I've seen some kits online that flash this line around so much you almost think they don't work for AMD systems!!

To be honest, I would say it's purely good marketing strategies. i7 and i5 is a new chipset, and with it comes confusion to people outside of say TPU :) That being said, someone "Normal" gets a new cpu with i5 or i7 and wants a ram upgrade and head to microcenter. They go for the box that says "for i5 and i7"..........I guess :) Just like the HDD's and ram kits that advertise "made for Mac's". It's the same HDD or set of ram that would work in a Windows PC. Just a marketing strategy for price gouging.

Yeah that makes perfect sense. I figured it was %90 marketing BS but I also wondered if this RAM had lower voltages or something related to the new on die MC.

Well it does have a low 1.65 voltage. But , that should not prevent it from operating on any other board capable of DDR3 ( I think 1.65 is about the standard for DDR3). The on die MC is just replacing 1 of the functions of the NB.
