But I enjoyed HZD, so am hoping HFW will be as good and that where will be a mod in short order to use Aloys face from HZD.
If you watch the new Xmen animated series people were also complaining about how they changed rogue's appearance I guess to each his own. Not really a hugh deal for me personally.
I'm on the fence atm. I normally don't pay full price for games (waited 2 full years for HZD PC to drop to half price), but I liked HZD enough to make this one an exception. On the other hand, I'd rather buy on GoG but that means waiting (if ever). Waiting isn't bad though, if there's a lot of launch bugs that need fixing...
Their record speaks for itself, and they've spent literally decades making it. You can buy without regret. HZD is 75% off on GOG right now, which means either working with GOG is Nixxes decision or Sony is allowing it.
Since you're already comfortable with waiting, you can probably rest easy since it would be weird for HZD to be on GOG but not HFW.
Of the bugs perhaps the one that's of the absolute highest importance is that the GPU usage figures are hilariously low and frame rates above 60 are... shaky at best. I can barely crack 100 fps even if I enable DRS or DLSS frame generation, but here's the deal: my CPU is essentially idle and my GPU's at 35%, pulling 100 W. Dropping from 4K/120 @ Very High to practically anything else has very little effect on the experience.
I've heard similar stories of RTX 4090 owners, but catch this: I have a 4080. Which clearly shows that the game is not using all of our hardware resources adequately.
I don't mind Aloy's face or her look in general so thats a non issue for me.
Since most are willing to pay that cost - as well as buy things twice or three times - I don't mind this stratification in the industry. High speed for renters and and slow speed for owners. More choices on a menu are always welcome.
