Zalman Shows off Core i5-ready CNPS10X Extreme CPU Cooler

Zalman, the pioneer in ultra-quiet computer cooling, is gearing up to release the multi-fit Zalman CNPS10X Extreme processor cooler. Oddly enough, the CNPS10X shares no similarity with any of the previous Zalman products. It measures 135 x 100 x 160 mm, weights 920 grams and features a copper base and five 6 mm heatpipes. The heatsink of CNPS10X is nickle-plated and chilled from a dual ball-bearing 120 mm PWM controlled blue LED fan working at speeds between 1000 and 2500 rpm (noise level between 20 dBa and 39 dBA). The CNPS10X Extreme supports AMD's Sockets 754, 939, 940, AM2, AM2+, AM3 and Intel's LGA 775, 1366, and 1156. Bundled with the cooler is a tube of ZM-STG2 thermal grease and Zalman's PWM Mate - a nifty controller for the fan's rotation speed.

MusselsHDT from xiggy does make a difference, its how they manage to match a true with a cooler that has less fins, less copper, and overall cheaper design.
Na it was the higher output fans. Still Xiggy makes great stuff. Plus Thermalright was never going for cheap anything. I really like this Zalman cooler very nice touches.

I'd probably just dump the controller and run the fan at max speed. I am kinda interested in it. I kinda want a new CPU cooler to play with. Had the same Xigmatek stuff for like 2 years lol Just shows how awesome they really are when nothing can compete with them for the price for 2 years.

mlee49Yeah but it's on the HS, what good is that?
The controller is detachable and Zalman provides an extension cable so you can remote mount the controller. The cable is long enough to be routed out the back of the case and around the side to the front.
