The Intel Pentium 4 1.5 was a desktop processor with 1 core, launched in November 2000, at an MSRP of $819. It is part of the Pentium 4 lineup, using the Willamette architecture with Socket 423. Pentium 4 1.5 has 256 KB of L2 cache and operates at 1500 MHz. Intel is building the Pentium 4 1.5 on a 180 nm production process using 42 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Pentium 4 1.5, which limits its overclocking capabilities.
With a TDP of 58 W, the Pentium 4 1.5 consumes typical power levels for a modern PC. The highest officially supported memory speed is 800 MT/s, but with overclocking (and the right memory modules) you can go even higher. Although the processor doesn't come with integrated graphics, certain motherboards with compatible chipsets can provide this capability.
Neither SSE3 nor SSE4 instruction sets are supported, which will lead to problems with games not starting.
