slc is believe is single cell layer technology and mlc is multi cell layer tech.. single cell is like whats used in flash drives, and multi cell is the new tech thats used in the good ssd's i believe.

Haha, so true! It would be nice if I could get one in my laptop (too bad it's IDE though)..

SLC > MLC, unless you want large capacity only and don't care about performance.

I hope these drives aren't based on any Samsung SSD's, as they have a huge problem with random writes (due to the inefficient JMicron controller).

i could see spending 300, 350 tops for 128gb.... but if we start saying crap like that, they'll set it that high, haha.... right now im happy with my 250gb drive, all my favorite crap and im only using 40gb anyway, and like 30gb of backup..... all you guys with your librarys of music, haha, use hard drives....

i predict by next year this time, these drives will be 300-350 bucks.... but im guessing about 600 for the price on these.... probably more though

the latest news is the new MLC H.D.D has Jmicron Chip with 1 controller
But price is so perfect price as i tols at last post it is around 300$ for 128G
