Clunk.org.uk have got hold of some photos of what appears to be a DFI LanParty branded CPU Cooler. The design is something new, featuring 6 heatpipes, effectively acting as 12 and with two independant heatsinks. No details such as pricing or availability accompany the images, but it is believed DFI are in collaboration with Thermalright and as such this could be a joint venture between them. The cooler seems to be held on with a prototype bolt on kit, which one would expect to change before the product reaches retail.

That thing's a monster! I wonder if it's gonna perform as well as the smaller ones like the xigma s1283 or the TRUE.

Woo go DFI! They need to branch off into more stuff. I have always had solid boards from them. I would love to see some LanParty cards as well.. That heatsink tho.. Kinda big. And if it doesn't have HDT then it's fail. I do like the mounting tho. Very clever..

That thing is HUGE. But looking at the size of recent Radeon cards (as it looks to be the same height as that cooler), I think man, I thought technology was supposed to make things smaller >_>...

I thought my Tuniq Tower and now Core Contact Freezer were big but that is just massive.

I really like that split design so that the heat doesn't go through the fins back into the heatpipes. Being separated seems like a good idea.

i dont agree on that one, dfi is good at making motherboards, why complicate things? Multiple product lines would just take engineers and resources away from their main product

They could use this as an incentive to offer more with their boards and charge a slightly higher premium than they currently do.

What the heck is that video card. It looks like a 3870 but it has no crossfire connectors.

Basically, thats a passive CPU cooler unit , and it looks , that planed to be and remain passive.

Funny enough , they use a common cooler on the VGA ... looks that they are desperate,
there is no room for passive cooling for the VGA , so they have failed in my eyes.

The complete passive solutions works , for special applications , sound studio and such .

Years back, Zalman had build a huge metal box as passive cooler, looks that no one can avoid
the word "huge" on passive cooling , the law of physics always wins .
