What good is 3000gflops if all they ever do is bunch of stupid debris?! Ever seen Havok in action?

They don't mention they do it on GPU, so i assume it's done on CPU. Yet, i can see ALL the effects done with Havok + many i've never seen with PhysX. Especially lame is the lack of simple stuff as flags in PhysX games when using CPU, where Havok simulates like thousands of flags at once. Interior destruction also looks impressive. Or the cloth simulation.
But noooo, NVIDIA wants their crappy exclusive physics no one wants except them. I know many GeForce users who said they are cool when seen for the first time, but physics become lame and boring very fast.
Only way to really evolve physics is to make an open standard. Otherwise developers have no intention to waste time implementing it just so only half of the users will be able to use it.
And those who do, are just bribed by NVIDIA to do it. Nothing else.
Ppl at NVIDIA obviously don't seem to understand the need for physics to evolve.
We'we come a long way with graphics in 10 years from cartoonish to near photo realistic.
But what has happened with physics in 10 years? We've come from realistic ragdolls (most of games), debris (Red Faction, Max Payne 2, Half-Life 2), destructive environments (Red Faction - 2001! and partially Max Payne 20Half-Life 2) and evolved gameplay and puzzles that rely on physics (Half-Life 2 and partially Max Payne 2) to ragdolls and fuckin debris only !?!?!?!? Where is everything else!?
What the hell!? We are going backwards? Physics haven't evolved. They have devolved.
If you don't believe me, just look at the games and when it started happening.
Max Payne 2 was insane as far as overal physics are involved. Ragdolls add insane cinematic feeling, small objects like cans, tires, gas cans, bottles, walls destruction (scripted but when they went down, they did this with realistic physics). Everything flies around in firefights and and when you slow down it looks even far more dramatic. You shoot a guy with shotgun and he flies over some table, sweeping glasses and bottles from it in all directions. And best of all, all the physics were done on CPU back in freakin year 2003! But today in late 2009 NVIDIA is feeding as with GPU only bullshit that can only showcase us bunch of useless and boring effects like flags, papers flying around and some smoke. Are you kidding me?! You needed uber powerful GPU and 10 years for that!? I think that's just embarrassing at best, but only ppl at NVIDIA and some fanboys think PhysX is a great thing. I think it's not and it's just damaging the games, physics effects an gameplay.
We could already have physics that would give player a feeling of actually believable world, where you step into it and everything would just feel like a real world. But because of "awesome" PhysX, we still have 99% static world and 1% of useless debris we've seen decade ago.
Way to go NVIDIA. Way to go (are you feeling the sarcasm here?

).
So spread the word and educate the gamers about the damage PhysX and NVIDIA are doing too the gaming community. It's the only way to stop this crap.
