Unoffical Fermi dates and naming

Current possible schedule of infamous Nvidia Fermi

Nvidia is shipping Fermi to partners in February,
GeForce 360 and GeForce 380 around 2nd - 10th of March,
GeForce 395 dual Fermi around 10th of May,
with Nvidia it is possible that GeForce 395 will be pushed beck beyond 10th of May

Yep just like the 8800 was the G80 chip, now the GTX 480 and GTX 470 will be based off of the GF100 chip.

Yeah, those cards are 6+8. All pics are basically from the same person though, and I've seen less than 5 real cards, even @ CES...

NVIDIA GT4XX Series Discussion

We've found out today that the GT3XX series are lame OEM renamed cards .. time for a new thread.

The two are based on NVIDIA's GF100 GPU which physically has 512 CUDA cores (shader units), a 384-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, and DirectX 11 compliance. While the GTX 480 is likely the full-featured part, it remains to be seen how NVIDIA carves out the GTX 470 SKU

It's all irrelevant - as far as I can tell , nVidia has gone Buddhist, and given up on money & material things altogether.

They simply seem to not care at all if anyone ever buys anything from then ever again.

not again, why do we have these poisonous discussions? that need too much attention from our poor admins and moderators who need to keep cleaning these threads with many feuding posters, all they achieve is senseless bickering with MAJOR fanboyism, Yes i am personally a Nvidia fanboy but keep my OPINIONS to myself . if u want Fanboy discussions please make a dedicated thread, as this will surely decend into an arguement

I believe the renames are G300's, without the T? Not completely sure.
